On Thursday, Delhi’s Education Minister, Ashish Sood, made a significant visit to the MCD School in Lajpat Nagar-III, where he participated in a bag distribution ceremony aimed at supporting students from Ward 7 schools. This event marked an important step in the Delhi Government’s initiative to enhance educational resources for young learners.
In his address to the students and teachers, Sood expressed his pride in returning to a government school environment, citing his own educational background. He stated, “These bags we hand out today are not just for books; they carry their dreams, leading them to a brighter future.” He underscored the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the futures of students, particularly in building an Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). Sood envisioned a transformation of all government schools over the next five years, emphasizing that future generations will actively seek recommendations for admission into these institutions.
During his speech, Sood highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure through innovative initiatives, including the introduction of AI-enabled education. This initiative aims to leverage technology to improve learning outcomes and educational environments across Delhi’s government schools. The event saw the distribution of over 2,200 bags to students ranging from nursery to Class V, with participation from more than 500 children.
