NEW DELHI, India — Navneet Education announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar on February 24, 2026, during the IndiaAI 2026 Summit in Delhi. This partnership aims to foster a robust academic-industry collaboration in the educational sector, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy across schools in India.
The MoU highlights Navneet’s commitment to responsible AI through structured training and national innovation initiatives. The collaboration intends to promote AI education by creating a framework that includes teacher training, student outreach, curriculum credentialing, and innovation-led programs. Navneet AI currently engages with over 500 schools and 2,000 teachers across 14 states, aiming to close the AI capability gap by empowering educators before classrooms adopt new technologies.
The partnership centers around five key pillars, designed to integrate industry insights with academic expertise to enhance the accessibility of AI learning for schools throughout India. The first pillar focuses on teacher upliftment and AI capability building. IIT Gandhinagar faculty and experts will conduct virtual AI training sessions to simplify complex concepts and equip teachers with practical knowledge and career insights in the AI sector.
In addition to teacher training, Navneet will develop AI-related educational materials, including books and learning resources. IIT Gandhinagar’s experts will review and credential these materials, ensuring pedagogical accuracy and conceptual integrity. A dedicated IIT Gandhinagar Corner will also provide expert viewpoints and academic insights, enhancing the educational content’s credibility.
The collaboration extends its reach to students as well, incorporating annual virtual AI training programs for grades three to ten, led by students from IIT Gandhinagar. This initiative aims to inspire young learners to become responsible AI creators and innovators.
To strengthen the partnership further, Navneet plans to establish product labs where IIT Gandhinagar students can tackle real-life business challenges proposed by Navneet. Industry mentors will guide students in utilizing AI technologies to solve these complex problems, thereby bridging the gap between academic theory and practical application.
Moreover, the partnership will organize a national-level AI hackathon to encourage students to transition from mere consumers of technology to active creators of AI-driven solutions. This initiative aims to cultivate a culture of innovation and hands-on learning in the field of AI among school students.
Harshil Gala, President of CBSE & EdTech, remarked, “Artificial Intelligence is becoming an essential skill for the future. Through this MoU with IIT Gandhinagar, we are taking a meaningful step toward making AI education structured, credible and practical for schools. As a teacher-first brand, we believe real transformation begins by empowering educators. By combining academic excellence with classroom reach, we aim to equip teachers and students with the right foundation to confidently engage with emerging technologies.”
Prof. Amit Prashant, Dean of External Relations at IIT Gandhinagar, added, “This collaboration reflects our belief that AI education must begin early and be rooted in strong fundamentals. By working with Navneet AI, we look forward to sharing our academic expertise with teachers and students and contributing to the development of responsible and informed future innovators.”
This MoU reaffirms Navneet’s dedication to nation-building through enhanced school education. By uniting classroom reach with academic rigor, the partnership sets a solid foundation for responsible AI learning in Indian schools and reinforces the critical role of teachers in navigating technological advancements.
