Tsinghua University’s TSAIL Lab, in collaboration with Shengshu Technology, has open-sourced a new acceleration framework for AI video generation called TurboDiffusion. This innovative framework aims to significantly enhance the speed and efficiency of video creation, allowing individual creators to generate high-quality videos in a fraction of the time previously required.
Benchmark tests indicate that using a single RTX 5090 GPU, a 1.3 billion parameter, 480p text-to-video model can be accelerated from approximately 184 seconds to just 1.9 seconds, achieving a remarkable speedup of 97 times. This performance leap positions TurboDiffusion as a viable tool for content creators looking to streamline their workflows.
