AI-Media Launches ADA Title II Compliance Initiative to Meet 2026 Digital Accessibility Deadlines

AI-Media launches ADA Title II Compliance Initiative, providing AI-driven captioning and audio description tools to help U.S. governments meet 2026 accessibility mandates.

NEW YORK, Dec. 02, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AI-Media, a leader in AI-powered captioning and audio description technology, has launched its ADA Title II Compliance Initiative. This program is designed to assist state and local governments across the United States in meeting newly established federal accessibility requirements for digital content.

In April 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice finalized the ADA Title II Web and Mobile Accessibility Rule, mandating public entities to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards for their digital services. The compliance deadlines are set for April 24, 2026, for larger entities serving over 50,000 people, and April 26, 2027, for smaller jurisdictions and special districts. These regulations necessitate accessible websites, mobile applications, and multimedia content, including captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions.

To facilitate preparations for these deadlines, AI-Media is initiating a multi-month educational campaign that includes practical tools and increased awareness of their solutions aimed at simplifying compliance for government agencies. “Public entities are facing one of the most significant accessibility transitions in decades,” stated Tony Abrahams, Co-founder and CEO of AI-Media. “The new ADA Title II rule sets clear expectations for digital accessibility, and our mission is to equip governments with AI-powered tools that deliver compliance simply, affordably, and at scale.”

As part of this initiative, AI-Media is releasing a 10-Point ADA Title II Compliance Checklist, which highlights two of its key technologies pivotal for ADA compliance. The first is LEXI Text, an AI-powered captioning and transcription service designed for both live and prerecorded content, ensuring that agencies can meet WCAG captioning and transcript requirements with accuracy and low latency. The second technology, LEXI AD, provides AI-driven audio description featuring advanced customization options, delivering natural-sounding narration that is essential for meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards for prerecorded video.

This initiative aligns with AI-Media’s expanded Government Solutions program, which aims to support public entities through scalable technology and predictable cost models. To further assist in the rollout, AI-Media will host a national webinar titled “ADA Title II: Compliance Made Simple with AI” on January 20, 2026. This webinar will review the accessibility requirements outlined in WCAG 2.1 AA and examine how AI-driven captioning and audio description solutions can facilitate compliance. Interested participants can view details and register for the event on the AI-Media website.

“As agencies prepare for the new ADA Title II deadlines, they’re looking for scalable, cost-effective ways to deliver accessible digital services,” Abrahams added. “LEXI Text and LEXI AD provide exactly that—AI-driven captioning and audio description solutions that help public entities meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards at scale.”

The ADA Title II Compliance Checklist and further details about AI-Media’s compliance solutions can be accessed on their website. It is important to note that AI-Media will not provide legal advice; attendees are encouraged to consult their legal teams regarding questions about regulatory interpretation.
