ZeroDrift Launches AI-Driven Compliance Tool with $2M Backing from a16z Speedrun

ZeroDrift emerges from stealth with $2M funding from a16z to revolutionize compliance in regulated industries through real-time AI-driven automation.

New York, Feb. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ZeroDrift has emerged from stealth mode with a $2 million pre-seed funding round aimed at revolutionizing compliance within regulated industries. As businesses strive for speed, especially in sectors like financial services, compliance protocols have often become a bottleneck, delaying communication and campaign launches by weeks. ZeroDrift is set to automate this process in real-time, providing a solution that enhances business velocity while ensuring compliance teams can maintain oversight.

The funding round was led by a16z speedrun, boosting ZeroDrift’s total funding to $2 million. The capital will facilitate the company’s go-to-market strategy, expand its product offerings across various communication channels, and further develop its AI-driven compliance engine.

Kumesh Aroomoogan, founder and CEO of ZeroDrift, noted the urgency behind the company’s launch, pointing to a growing tension in industries that must balance rapid digital outreach with stringent regulatory requirements. Traditional compliance methods, which often involve labor-intensive manual reviews and approval queues, are inadequate for today’s fast-paced communication environments. “Compliance should be a guardrail that lets teams move faster, not a gate that slows everything down,” Aroomoogan stated. ZeroDrift aims to provide a solution that instills confidence in compliance from the outset.

ZeroDrift functions as an AI-native communication firewall that preemptively checks and rectifies content before it is dispatched. The platform incorporates SEC, FINRA, and firm-specific policies into machine-readable rulepacks, enforcing compliance at the moment of creation. By integrating seamlessly with existing tools—including email, CRMs, and social platforms—ZeroDrift allows compliance issues to be flagged in real time, enabling compliant communications to proceed without delay. This design offers compliance teams comprehensive visibility through centralized dashboards and generates automatic audit trails.

The impetus for ZeroDrift stemmed from Aroomoogan’s previous experience with Accern, a no-code AI platform for financial services. He observed how prolonged legal and compliance reviews hindered launches and affected team productivity. Notably, he remarked that employees often preferred phone calls over emails due to uncertainty about compliance, suggesting that slow processes could change communication habits. ZeroDrift addresses these challenges directly, aiming to provide teams with real-time compliance assurance.

Initially focusing on financial services, ZeroDrift targets registered investment advisors, asset managers, and broker-dealers, among others, in a market that includes over 15,000 registered investment advisors and hundreds of thousands of representatives across the U.S. Solutions offered by ZeroDrift include faster campaign launches, improved sales efficiency, and seamless deployment of AI technologies while ensuring readiness for regulatory examinations without last-minute scrambles.

The growing prevalence of AI and multi-channel communication amplifies the challenges ZeroDrift seeks to mitigate. Firms today communicate through various platforms, each with distinct compliance demands, complicating manual review processes. Hiring additional compliance staff is often neither feasible nor effective. As communication volumes rise, success will favor those businesses that automate governance tasks rather than relying on human bottlenecks.

Troy Kirwin from a16z speedrun emphasized the critical nature of this shift: “Compliance has quietly become a limiting factor for how fast regulated companies can operate. ZeroDrift flips that dynamic by preventing violations before they happen and making compliance a built-in part of everyday workflows.”

Looking ahead, ZeroDrift plans to deepen its service offerings within financial services while also expanding its compliance engine into other regulated sectors, including insurance, healthcare, and AI governance. The long-term vision is to establish ZeroDrift as the universal trust layer for any system that communicates, ensuring that as AI and automation progress, trust and compliance will scale alongside them.
