Jet.AI and Convergence Compute Announce 350-Acre Data Center Near Winnipeg to Boost AI Capacity

Jet.AI and Convergence Compute unveil a 350-acre data center near Winnipeg, poised to meet surging AI demand with 2,000 MW hydroelectric power access.

Las Vegas, NV, Dec. 04, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Jet.AI Inc. (“Jet.AI”) (Nasdaq: JTAI), a growing provider of GPU infrastructure and AI cloud services, alongside its joint venture with Consensus Core Technologies Inc. (“Consensus Core”), Convergence Compute LLC, has announced the location for its new data center campus in the Midwestern Canadian region. Positioned approximately 10 miles south of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the campus is set to address the escalating North American demand for AI and high-density computing solutions, attracting interest from hyperscale tenants.

The facility will encompass roughly 350 contiguous acres, strategically situated with direct access to necessary energy and network infrastructure. The site is adjacent to an electrical substation, a regional natural gas substation, and high-speed fiber routes, along with the Riel Converter Substation, which provides 2,000 MW of hydroelectric power through the Bipole III HVDC line. An overhead 115-kV transmission corridor enhances the site’s accessibility to scalable, cost-efficient energy.

Moreover, Winnipeg’s location along major east-west fiber corridors offers low-latency connectivity across Canada and into the United States, facilitating the aggregation of substantial bandwidth volumes essential for AI and cloud-scale operations. A significant natural gas pipeline runs through the property, ensuring direct access to a crucial fuel source, while an adjoining gas transmission and distribution substation presents on-site piping options that may contribute to future power solutions with enhanced cost efficiency and operational flexibility.

Having already completed its initial two development milestones ahead of schedule, Convergence Compute is progressing on its third milestone, representing a unique opportunity for gigawatt-scale development in North America. Mike Winston, Founder and CEO of Jet.AI, emphasized the increasing difficulty in securing energy-advantaged sites, stating, “As AI compute demand accelerates, energy-advantaged sites like this are becoming increasingly difficult to secure. The combination of power, redundancy, and buildable scale here is extremely hard to replicate.”

Wayne Lloyd, CEO of Consensus Core Technologies Inc., remarked on the strategic importance of the site, saying, “This site aligns with the long-term compute and energy profile the industry is moving toward. It offers the reliability, connectivity, and acreage required for multi-phase hyperscale deployment.”

The development underscores the growing intersection of AI technologies and data infrastructure, as demand for robust computing solutions continues to surge across various sectors. The data center campus not only enhances Jet.AI’s capabilities but also positions the company strategically within a rapidly evolving market landscape driven by AI integration and cloud computing needs.
