KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Dec. 01, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — VCI Global Limited (NASDAQ: VCIG) has unveiled a strategic transformation aimed at positioning the company as a leading provider of AI infrastructure, stablecoin payment solutions, and digital asset advisory services across the high-growth ASEAN and MENA regions. This initiative reflects a determined shift toward sectors characterized by significant long-term demand and institutional adoption.
Central to this transformation is a streamlined operational focus around three high-growth pillars, leveraging the distinct expertise of its subsidiaries. The first pillar, AI Infrastructure & Consulting, is delivered through V Gallant Limited. The subsidiary provides enterprise-grade AI solutions, encompassing secure AI and data privacy, AI compute and consulting, data analytics as a service, ISO audit and advisory services, and cybersecurity consulting. These offerings respond to the increasing demand for digital transformation in emerging markets.
The second pillar focuses on Stablecoin Infrastructure & Settlement Rails. VCI Global, via Smart Bridge Technologies Limited, is advancing various stablecoin initiatives, including the integration of USDT-powered payment rails and real-time settlement infrastructure. This includes implementing AI-driven compliance and analytics to support institutional adoption of stablecoin payments, enabling merchants to achieve real-time fiat settlement from digital asset transactions.
The third pillar, Digital Asset & RWA Consultancy, also operated by Smart Bridge, encompasses advisory services for tokenization, digital asset structuring, and real-world assets. The services provided include corporate fundraising advisory, regulated exchange listings, and multi-jurisdictional structuring aimed at institutional clients.
As part of its long-term strategy, VCI Global is pursuing a two-pronged approach to unlock shareholder value by spinning off non-core businesses through separate IPOs while retaining a 30% stake in each to maintain long-term value. The businesses earmarked for spin-off include the company’s capital markets consultancy, real estate division, energy unit, and fintech operations.
In parallel, VCI Global is moving forward with a carve-out IPO of V Gallant, its wholly owned AI infrastructure subsidiary, which is pivotal to the company’s growth strategy. As part of this carve-out, a previously announced special dividend of 10% of V Gallant’s share capital is set to be distributed to VCIG shareholders, with the record date pending regulatory approvals. This move illustrates the company’s commitment to shareholder value alongside its strategic initiatives.
VCI Global is also reinforcing its position in the global stablecoin ecosystem through strategic partnerships with Oobit and Tether, the largest stablecoin issuer worldwide. The company plans to integrate stablecoin payment solutions and build settlement rails while deploying AI-driven compliance and analytics tools for enterprises. The focus for these initiatives will primarily target the growing digital commerce markets in ASEAN and MENA, which present significant opportunities for alternative payments and AI-driven transformation.
“VCI Global is aligning itself with the fastest-growing engines of global digital transformation, including AI infrastructure, stablecoin payment systems, and digital asset advisory,” said Dato’ Victor Hoo, Group Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of VCI Global. He emphasized that this strategic shift offers a robust foundation for long-term growth and aims to unlock value for shareholders through focused sector expansion and planned initiatives.
Established as a cross-sector platform builder, VCI Global Limited operates at the leading edge of technology and financial architecture. The company emphasizes developing and scaling platforms within artificial intelligence, encrypted data infrastructure, digital treasury systems, and next-generation capital market solutions. By integrating technological innovation with financial ecosystems, VCI Global is poised to enable enterprises, governments, and institutions to capitalize on evolving opportunities within the digital economy.
This strategic realignment comes at a time when companies worldwide are increasingly recognizing the importance of digital assets and AI technologies as pivotal drivers of future growth. As VCI Global positions itself within these high-demand sectors, the outcomes of these initiatives will be keenly observed by stakeholders as indicators of the company’s ability to navigate the complexities of the modern financial landscape.
