Cloud Range has launched its AI Validation Range, a new cyber range platform that enables organizations to securely test, train, and validate AI models and agentic AI prior to their deployment in production environments. The announcement was made Tuesday as the company aims to address the growing concerns surrounding the rapid adoption of unmanaged AI tools within enterprises, many of which have yet to be thoroughly evaluated for safety and efficacy.

The AI Validation Range facilitates organizations in verifying the performance and reliability of their AI systems before they are put into active use. By testing and measuring how these models respond to real-world adversarial inputs and uncertainties, enterprises can ensure a more secure integration of AI into their operations. “For years, Cloud Range has helped organizations know how to perform under real attack conditions. Applying that same simulation rigor to AI allows organizations to measure how AI agents and models perform side by side with human defenders, using the same scenarios, tools, and pressures,” said Cloud Range CEO Debbie Gordon. She emphasized the critical nature of this comparison for understanding where AI can enhance security and where human judgment remains indispensable.

As organizations look to integrate agentic AI into Security Operations Centers (SOC), cyber defense, and offensive security workflows, the AI Validation Range offers a controlled environment for training these agents on real systems. This approach allows for observation of how AI interacts with live infrastructures and security protocols. Cloud Range asserts that this methodology provides security and engineering teams with clearer insights into AI reliability, decision logic, and potential failure modes, ultimately helping them establish necessary guardrails to mitigate risks.

The platform encompasses several key features designed for comprehensive analysis and training, including adversarial AI testing, which simulates real-world cyberattacks to assess how AI models and agents detect, respond, and adapt under hostile conditions. It also includes agentic SOC training to condition AI on how to defend against actual cyberattacks in a safe, non-production environment. Furthermore, the operational readiness validation feature measures AI performance and implements security controls to determine readiness for production, thereby identifying any gaps before deployment.

Additionally, the AI Validation Range supports governed, repeatable experiments, enabling consistent validation and tuning over time. The platform operates within a secure, isolated range environment that protects production systems and the integrity of model data while facilitating high-fidelity simulations and training exercises.

Cloud Range aims to assist businesses in using its extensive catalog of real-world attack simulations and licensed security tools to evaluate AI models for vulnerabilities, data leakage, and unintended outputs in realistic IT and operational technology environments. The platform can also train agents for offensive security objectives, such as vulnerability discovery and threat validation, as well as defensive applications like identifying malicious behaviors and expediting alerts.

In its official statement, Cloud Range expressed its commitment to helping security teams achieve greater visibility into AI system behaviors, identify necessary safeguards, and clarify the division of responsibility between technology and human personnel. “This enables organizations to operationalize AI with confidence, aligning innovation, security, and accountability before AI becomes embedded in mission-critical workflows,” the statement said.
