Hikvision Launches WonderOS 4, Enhancing Smart Education with AI and Cloud Integration

Hikvision launches WonderOS 4, transforming smart education with AI-driven features and cloud integration, setting a new standard for interactive learning experiences.

HANGZHOU, China, Nov. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Hikvision has taken a significant leap in smart education technology with the launch of WonderOS 4, a revolutionary operating system tailored for its WonderHub interactive display. This new OS aims to enhance educational experiences through advanced AI capabilities and a cloud-integrated architecture, marking a transformative step toward intelligent education.

“WonderHub delivers smart education through four integrated layers: cutting-edge hardware, intelligent software, cloud teaching platform, and AI capabilities,” stated Derek Yang, Vice President of Hikvision International Business Center. “Our roadmap is clear: first build a stable ecosystem, then integrate AI and cloud to truly serve educators and learners, allowing human potential to shine even brighter.”

Unleashing AI in Education

WonderOS 4 introduces AI through three key features: WonderOmi voice assistant, AI Identify, and AI Notes. These innovations are designed to foster a collaborative learning environment. For instance, WonderOmi allows for hands-free operation, enabling teachers to control the display and access materials without diverting their attention from students. The voice activation feature can answer questions and provide text-to-speech responses, offering educators a brief moment to regroup during classes.

The AI Identify functionality turns any content displayed on the screen into a learning opportunity. Teachers can highlight text, formulas, or images to receive instant explanations, practice questions, or relevant references. Meanwhile, AI Notes captures speech in real-time, generating brief summaries and actionable points, simplifying the process of note-taking for educators.

The upgraded Whiteboard 2.0 exemplifies the power of AI-assisted teaching. Rather than being a static tool, it functions as a dynamic space where creativity flourishes. The system recognizes handwriting in multiple languages, identifies shapes, and even converts handwritten formulas into visual graphs. Teachers can create questions and insert images seamlessly during lessons, resulting in a more intuitive and engaging classroom experience.

Seamless Integration and Enhanced Collaboration

The revamped cloud account system enhances usability by allowing teachers to log in to any classroom interactive flat panel display (IFPD) via a QR code or NFC card. This feature ensures that they have immediate access to their personalized environment, including settings and materials, making any classroom feel familiar and tailored to their teaching style.

Additionally, the new interface is designed to anticipate teaching intentions through an intelligent sidebar and AI assistant, streamlining operations. The new Floating Command Center consolidates shortcut actions, enabling educators to focus on student interactions while minimizing distractions from system operations.

To further advance collaborative teaching, the new Wonder Seminar feature enables wireless group interactions among multiple IFPDs. This allows teachers to broadcast to group screens or facilitate discussions by providing students with host rights for group activities.

Behind the scenes, enhancements such as virtual memory support and independent OTA updates for features like WonderCast and Whiteboard ensure a smoother user experience and facilitate quicker deployment of new functionalities.

With the launch of WonderOS 4, Hikvision is positioning itself at the forefront of the educational technology sector. The integration of AI and cloud services promises to redefine how education is delivered, making learning more accessible, engaging, and efficient for both educators and students.
