Sunil Mittal: AI Poised to Revolutionize Healthcare and Education Sectors

Bharti Group’s Sunil Mittal asserts AI will revolutionize healthcare and education, enhancing service efficiency and innovation across industries.

New Delhi: Bharti Group Chairman Sunil Mittal emphasized the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) during his address at the India AI Impact Summit on Thursday. Mittal asserted that sectors such as healthcare, education, deep research, and medical sciences are poised for rapid growth spurred by AI, which he described as a crucial driver of change across industries.

“AI is no longer just a technology trend but is becoming a key driver of change across industries,” Mittal remarked. He underscored AI’s role in fundamentally altering how companies operate and deliver services, with particular benefits to healthcare and education as the technology enhances efficiency, innovation, and accessibility.

For Bharti Group, AI has already become integral to its operations. Mittal noted that the company leverages AI to better serve customers, strengthen networks, and manage them more effectively. “AI is helping improve service quality while also making internal processes smarter and faster,” he added, reflecting a broader trend among businesses increasingly investing in AI to maintain competitiveness.

The chairman highlighted that AI’s impact is far-reaching, extending beyond traditional sectors. “From medical research to advanced scientific studies, AI will play a major role in shaping the future,” he said, emphasizing that as more companies adopt this technology, new opportunities for growth and innovation will emerge.

Mittal’s comments align with a global surge in AI investments as firms seek to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving marketplace. The summit itself featured over 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations, organized into three thematic chakras: People, Planet, and Progress. It also showcased more than 600 high-potential startups, many of which are developing solutions with global relevance and a focus on population-scale issues.

These startups presented real-world solutions already deployed, illustrating the practical applications of AI technology. In addition, the summit included over 500 sessions featuring more than 3,250 visionary speakers and panel members, aimed at articulating the transformative impact of AI across various sectors and discussing future actions to ensure that AI benefits every global citizen.

The emphasis on AI’s role in societal advancement highlights a growing recognition of the technology’s potential to drive significant improvements. As industries adapt to these innovations, the landscape of business and public services is expected to evolve, reflecting the increasing integration of AI in daily operations. With leaders like Mittal advocating for a broad adoption of AI, the implications for future growth and innovation are substantial.
