BURLINGAME, Calif., Jan. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Quadric®, the inference engine powering on-device AI chips, has announced an oversubscribed $30 million Series C funding round, elevating its total capital raised to $72 million. The funding, primarily led by the ACCELERATE Fund managed by BEENEXT Capital Management, is a sign of growing investor confidence in the company’s innovative approach to AI hardware. Existing investor Uncork Capital made one of the largest insider commitments through its opportunity fund, alongside Pear VC. New investors in this round include Volta, Gentree, Wanxiang America, Pivotal, and Silicon Catalyst Ventures.
The announcement comes on the heels of significant financial growth, with Quadric reporting that its product revenues more than tripled in 2025 compared to 2024. As the company enters 2026, it is witnessing accelerating design-win momentum, driven by the increasing adoption of its General Purpose NPU (GPNPU) processor IP across edge LLM, automotive, and enterprise vision applications.
“We’ve been deeply impressed by Quadric’s innovative architecture, its disruptive approach to AI inference at the edge, and their strong market traction, particularly in Asian markets,” said Hero Choudhary, Managing Partner at BEENEXT. “Those attributes indicate a very clear path for further growth with a strong potential to be a generational business. We believe Quadric is poised to revolutionize the edge AI hardware sector, and we look forward to supporting their journey as they continue to push the boundaries of what is possible.”
The challenge of creating a successful AI inference chip is multifaceted, particularly in ensuring its longevity as models evolve. Most edge AI chips currently rely on legacy architectures, with NPU accelerators often appended as an afterthought. This results in software toolchains that are inadequate for accommodating the diverse range of models developers may wish to employ. Such limitations can lead to performance breakdowns when new models are introduced.
Quadric’s Chimera™ processor IP addresses these issues by offering a fully programmable architecture that can run any AI model—current or future—on a unified platform. This design future-proofs investments in silicon against the obsolescence that commonly afflicts AI accelerators as model requirements shift. Coupled with a comprehensive toolchain developed from the ground up, Chimera enables chip designers to deploy applications in computer vision and on-device LLMs, supporting models up to 30 billion parameters with industry-leading inference performance per watt. Customers can transition from initial engagement to production-ready LLM-capable silicon in less than six months.
The Chimera GPNPU cores deliver scalable performance, ranging from 1 tera operations per second (TOPS) to an impressive 864 TOPS, with options available for both commercial-grade and automotive safety-enhanced (ASIL-ready) configurations.
“Quadric is the only AI processor IP company we’ve seen reach this level of product revenue, and that traction is a direct result of real customer adoption—not hype,” noted Jeff Clavier, Founding Partner at Uncork Capital, a seed investor that has participated in every funding round. “What makes this especially compelling is the entrenched on-device AI software ecosystem forming around Chimera; that ecosystem has the makings of a generational platform.”
As of now, Quadric’s licensees span a range of industries, including automotive, edge LLM, office automation, and autonomous driving. Coinciding with the funding, Quadric announced two new licensing agreements: one with an edge-server LLM silicon provider in Asia, and another with Tier IV of Japan, a leader in self-driving software development.
“I want our customers to have the best AI inference chips in the market. Chips with world-class software, leading performance per watt, and immunity to the model obsolescence plaguing AI accelerators,” stated Veerbhan Kheterpal, CEO and co-founder of Quadric. “This is growth capital, and we’re putting it behind the teams and technology that make our customers successful.”
Established as a pivotal player in the on-device AI space, Quadric’s technology is trusted by leading chip designers, enabling them to transition from engagement to production-ready AI silicon in under six months. The Chimera platform, which scales to 864 TOPS and offers automotive-grade options, positions the company for ongoing success in a rapidly evolving market. Headquartered in Burlingame, California, and with teams across North America, Asia, and Europe, Quadric is poised to solidify its place in the future of AI technology.
