UAE and Uzbekistan Launch AI Initiatives, Training 5 Million Prompt Engineers

UAE and Uzbekistan unveil an ambitious plan to train five million AI prompt engineers, aiming to boost government efficiency and drive economic growth.

The strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Uzbekistan was prominently highlighted during the Uzbekistan Zero Bureaucracy Forum and the Uzbekistan Artificial Intelligence Forum in Tashkent. Organized jointly by both governments, the forums aimed to modernize governmental operations by reducing bureaucracy and integrating innovative artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. Key ministers and officials from the UAE and Uzbekistan participated, sharing insights and best practices to enhance the efficiency of government services.

Uzbekistan’s Zero Bureaucracy Programme, launched at the forums, seeks to emulate the UAE’s successful model for improving government efficiency and boosting citizen satisfaction. This initiative is designed to streamline procedures, minimize administrative burdens, and enhance innovation within public institutions. Its overarching goal is to positively influence economic growth and social development across Uzbekistan.

At the Artificial Intelligence Forum, an ambitious initiative titled “Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers” was unveiled. This program aims to train five million individuals in AI prompt engineering over the next three years. By equipping the workforce with crucial AI skills, the initiative is expected to stimulate innovation and drive economic growth, while also enhancing government capabilities in navigating future challenges.

Interactive sessions at the forum explored the transformative potential of AI, focusing on its role in education, skills development, and technological applications across various sectors. Participants engaged in discussions about personalized educational solutions and the broader implications of AI integration within society.

The longstanding partnership between the UAE and Uzbekistan dates back to 2019, when the two nations first established a strategic alliance geared towards government modernization. This partnership was renewed in 2021 for an additional six years, with the current phase focusing on 14 critical pillars, including industrial and social development, digital transformation, health, AI, statistics, urban planning, and leadership development. These initiatives align with Uzbekistan’s Vision 2040, aimed at fostering sustainable development through the adoption of global best practices.

As the UAE and Uzbekistan continue to collaborate, their efforts could serve as a benchmark for other nations looking to modernize their governmental frameworks. The integration of AI and the reduction of bureaucracy not only promise enhanced operational efficiency but also aim to improve overall citizen engagement and satisfaction. With ambitious programs like the AI prompt engineers initiative, both countries are poised to cultivate a more skilled workforce that can meet the demands of an evolving technological landscape.

The forums in Tashkent represent a significant step forward in the UAE-Uzbekistan partnership, illuminating a path for future cooperation in technology and governance. As both nations endeavor to leverage AI for societal advancement, the outcomes of these initiatives could have far-reaching implications for their respective economic landscapes and international collaboration in the field of technology.
