The merger will unite Udemy’s skills development marketplace with the Coursera ecosystem, expanding its global value and impact. Greg Hart, CEO of Coursera, states, “By combining the highly complementary strengths of Coursera and Udemy, we will be in an even stronger position to address the global talent transformation opportunity, unlock a faster pace of innovation, and deliver valuable experiences and outcomes for our learners and customers.”
Cvent Announces its Acquisition of Goldcast
Cvent, a provider of technology for meetings, events, and hospitality, has announced the acquisition of Goldcast, a video content platform designed for B2B webinars and events. This acquisition will combine Cvent’s scale with Goldcast’s AI-powered capabilities, equipping marketing teams with the necessary resources to turn live event moments into on-brand video clips, summaries, and recaps. The integration will offer customers an end-to-end marketing solution that drives measurable revenue by extending the event lifecycle with easily repurposed footage for web, email, social, and sales activation.
Insightly Launches an AI-Powered Assistant
Insightly, an affordable CRM solution, has introduced Copilot, a generative AI-powered assistant that aims to simplify and accelerate CRM tasks. By incorporating natural prompts and automation into sales and marketing operations, Copilot transforms the Insightly CRM into a more conversational partner. This tool can assist users in identifying data duplicates, generating personalized emails, offering follow-up suggestions, and providing real-time insights regarding leads, deals, and pipeline status. The design is user-friendly, enabling teams of varied experience levels to adopt it easily.
Pipedrive Details an Integration Available in ChatGPT
Pipedrive, a CRM provider for small businesses, announced its availability as an integration within ChatGPT. Developed by OpenAI, this integration will allow sales professionals to interact directly with their Pipedrive data through ChatGPT. This innovation aims to facilitate easier access to insights, summarize lead activity, and generate sales content, such as lead summaries or email drafts. Sean Evers, VP of Sales at Pipedrive, remarked, “By bringing Pipedrive directly into their ChatGPT account, teams will be given a faster, more intuitive way to understand what’s happening in their pipeline and what actions to take next. It’s not about replacing judgment, but removing any possible friction.”
SurveyMonkey Appoints a Chief Financial Officer
SurveyMonkey, a global platform for surveys and forms, has appointed Lance Ludman as Chief Financial Officer. In this new role, Ludman will oversee all aspects of the company’s financial function, including financial strategy, planning and analysis, accounting, tax, and treasury management. With extensive experience in scaling technology and software companies, Ludman has previously served as CFO at Benevity and DreamBox Learning. Eric Johnson, CEO at SurveyMonkey, expressed confidence in Ludman’s ability to provide the “fresh perspective” needed as the company seeks to enhance its market position.
