Scale Computing Hires Richard Williams as CFO to Drive Growth and Strategic Expansion

Scale Computing appoints Richard Williams as CFO to drive growth and enhance its capabilities following the acquisition of Adaptiv Networks, bolstering SaaS offerings.

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Scale Computing, a leader in edge computing and network solutions, has appointed Richard Williams as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Williams will oversee the company’s global finance organization, which encompasses financial planning, analysis, accounting, capital strategy, and operational finance, as Scale Computing continues to expand its market reach and SaaS platforms.

Prior to joining Scale Computing, Williams held the CFO position at Eagle Eye Networks, where he played a vital role in the company’s rapid growth and global market expansion. Following a recent acquisition, Eagle Eye Networks has been rebranded as Brivo, a recognized leader in AI-driven access control and security management solutions.

“Scale Computing is at an exciting point in its growth, expanding both its SaaS platforms and its market reach. Oaktree Capital Management L.P. and I look forward to partnering with Rich,” said Bill Morrow, CEO of Scale Computing. “Rich brings the financial leadership, operational discipline, and strategic mindset needed to support Scale Computing’s acceleration responsibly. His background in complex, mission-critical industries and his expertise in capital markets and organizational development will be invaluable as we continue growing the business.”

The timing of Williams’ appointment coincides with a significant growth phase for Scale Computing. Recently, the company announced the acquisition of Adaptiv Networks, a prominent provider of cloud-native Software-Defined Wide-Area Network (SD-WAN) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions. This acquisition enhances Scale Computing’s SC//AcuVigil™ managed network solutions, integrating SD-WAN connectivity and centralized orchestration across distributed environments, and bolsters its position in the Canadian market.

“I am joining Scale Computing at a time when organizations around the world are rethinking how they run and secure their applications and networks,” Williams remarked. “Scale Computing has built platforms that deliver simplicity, resilience, and operational efficiency — and the company is well positioned to support its partners and customers to modernize infrastructure while supporting distributed operations. I look forward to working with the team to further strengthen the company’s financial foundation and support the next phase of growth.”

Scale Computing offers a comprehensive suite of edge computing solutions that cater to its diverse customer base. The SC//AcuVigil managed network solutions provide 24/7 network operations support along with self-service visibility and control, enabling multi-site operators to effectively monitor, troubleshoot, secure, and optimize their networks. Additionally, the SC//Fleet Manager™ edge orchestration solutions feature Zero-Touch Provisioning™, simplifying the management of edge computing infrastructure akin to managing cloud resources.

Another notable offering is the SC//Reliant™ Platform as a Service, which is designed to be hardware- and cloud-agnostic, allowing multi-site businesses to manage applications, networks, and security controls seamlessly without adding complexity. The SC//HyperCore™ virtualization suite integrates software, servers, and storage into one platform, thereby simplifying IT systems and conserving valuable organizational resources. Furthermore, SC//Connect, the newly branded solution from Adaptiv Networks, provides cloud-native SD-WAN and SASE offerings that enhance WAN management while improving performance, security, and reliability across organizations.

Scale Computing stands at the forefront of the edge computing landscape, uniquely positioned to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions that scale from one to 50,000 locations. Backed by Oaktree Capital Management L.P., which manages over $200 billion in assets, the company is well-equipped to power critical applications for organizations worldwide.

As the demand for advanced network solutions continues to grow, the strategic moves by Scale Computing, including the addition of Williams and the acquisition of Adaptiv Networks, signal a commitment to enhancing its capabilities and supporting the evolving needs of its customers in the digital age.
