Aldar and Visa Launch AI-Driven Voice Payments for Real Estate Services in UAE

Aldar partners with Visa to launch AI-driven voice payments for real estate services in the UAE, enhancing customer experience and security through seamless transactions.

Customers of Aldar, a real estate developer based in Abu Dhabi, can now pay their real estate service charges through a voice-activated artificial intelligence (AI) agent. This capability is part of a strategic collaboration with Visa, aimed at implementing Visa Intelligent Commerce in the region, according to a press release issued on December 18.

The inaugural transaction using this voice-enabled payment experience involved a customer making a payment via the Live Aldar mobile app. The AI agent verified the customer’s details and completed the transaction seamlessly. The payment was processed using an Emirates NBD Darna Visa Card, which is linked to Aldar’s digital loyalty platform, Darna.

In the coming weeks, Visa cardholders in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will have the ability to utilize the AI agent on either the Live Aldar app or the Aldar website to pay their service charges. Both companies plan to introduce additional capabilities in 2026.

“By pairing Aldar’s AI agent with Visa Intelligent Commerce, we have transformed a routine payment into a customer-first experience that is secure, transparent, and almost instant,” said Harry Nakichbandi, Chief Digital Officer at Aldar. He emphasized that as these AI-powered capabilities expand across Live Aldar, customers will experience increased value through personalized offers and automatic application of loyalty points.

Godfrey Sullivan, Senior Vice President and Head of Products and Solutions for the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA) region at Visa, noted that this implementation showcases how Visa Intelligent Commerce can facilitate secure agent-initiated transactions on behalf of Visa cardholders, including managing routine financial tasks.

The Visa Intelligent Commerce program, launched in April, aims to provide developers access to the Visa network’s infrastructure, enabling them to create AI agents capable of searching, recommending, and making purchases on behalf of consumers.

Mark Nelsen, Global Head of Consumer Products at Visa, remarked in a recent interview that this initiative will revolutionize shopping and buying experiences. “We’re letting AI developers and engineers use the Visa network to allow AI agents to find and buy on [the consumer’s] behalf in a seamless and safe way,” he explained.

The integration of AI technology into everyday transactional processes highlights a significant shift in how services can be rendered to customers, improving both efficiency and user experience. The collaboration between Aldar and Visa underscores their commitment to leveraging innovative solutions to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction in the real estate sector.

As the deployment of AI in this domain progresses, it may set a precedent for other industries to follow suit, using similar technologies to streamline payment processes and further optimize customer interactions.
