HGC Global Communications Announces Strategic Transformation Amid AI-Driven Economy

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 25 November 2025 – HGC Global Communications (“HGC” or the “Group”) has launched a strategic transformation aimed at capitalizing on new opportunities within an increasingly AI-driven, digital-first economy. As market conditions begin to show improvement and technology accelerates change, this evolution is set to position HGC to lead by unlocking new business models, enhancing customer experiences, and driving sustainable growth through innovation and market expansion.

Utilizing its existing telecommunications infrastructure and integrating advanced digital solutions, HGC is focusing on emerging trends such as artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and data-driven platforms. This initiative underscores HGC’s commitment to innovation while fortifying its five core business segments: Corporate and Enterprise Business, Consumer Market, Local Carrier, International Business, and ICT Business.

Andrew Kwok, Chief Executive Officer of HGC, stated, “This strategic transformation underscores HGC’s commitment to harnessing the AI boom and the accelerating wave of digitalization at a time when markets are showing some positive signs. As part of this restructuring, Daniel Chung will take on the role of Chief Technical Officer and Executive Vice President – Carrier Business, effective January 1, 2026. In this expanded capacity, Chung will lead the local Engineering & Operations and Information Technology teams, strengthening HGC’s operational and technical leadership. With over 30 years of experience in telecommunications, his expertise is expected to enhance HGC’s competitive advantage.

Rainbow Wong is set to become Chief Commercial Officer – Corporate and Enterprise Business, also effective January 1, 2026. Wong, who brings over 25 years of experience in the Telecommunications and ICT sectors, has been essential in developing corporate market strategies. Her new role will focus on supporting corporate digitalization and addressing emerging demands from enterprise customers.

Ben Wu will be appointed Chief Commercial Officer – Consumer & Mass Market, with a focus on enhancing HGC’s consumer segment and expanding its call center business, effective January 1, 2026. Wu’s responsibilities will include improving customer experience through digitalized call center services and innovative offerings aimed at driving consumer market growth.

Argon Ho, currently Chief Commercial Officer – Group ICT Business, will extend his leadership to ICT Business, Solutions & Product, expanding his role beyond Hong Kong. With over 30 years in ICT, Ho is recognized for his expertise in strategic planning and cybersecurity, and he will focus on building technological partnerships and business models in global markets.

Cliff Tam and Ravindran Mahalingam will continue to lead HGC’s international growth strategy by enhancing its traditional international business and focusing on expanding into Southeast Asia. Tam will drive growth in the carrier business and wholesale segments, while Mahalingam’s focus will be on expanding HGC’s in-country infrastructure in Southeast Asia.

In light of these developments, the company has also expressed its gratitude to two senior management members, Lee Kwan and Alvin Wong, who are retiring. HGC commended their contributions and leadership over the years as they transition into a new phase of life.
