Samsung Unveils Bespoke AI Appliances to Transform Homes at CES 2026, Enhancing Smart Living

Samsung unveils Bespoke AI appliances at CES 2026, featuring energy-efficient models up to 65% better than local standards, redefining smart home living.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has unveiled its vision for the future of smart home living with the introduction of its Bespoke AI appliances during the CES 2026 event in Las Vegas. This announcement, made on January 7, 2026, aims to redefine home living by integrating advanced artificial intelligence into everyday appliances to create what Samsung terms ‘Home Companions.’

Leading the presentation, Cheolgi Kim, Head of Samsung’s Digital Appliances (DA) Business, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation through its ecosystem of interconnected devices. These appliances, equipped with Bixby voice recognition technology, screens, and cameras, are designed to proactively assist users by adapting to their daily routines. This transformation positions Samsung’s products not merely as tools, but as intelligent partners that enhance the quality of life.

“Samsung’s ultimate goal is to enable a better living through Bespoke AI,” said Kim. He elaborated on how the interconnected nature of Samsung’s devices, which includes televisions and mobile phones, creates a comprehensive AI ecosystem. This interconnectedness aims to provide consumers with unique and valuable experiences that align with their lifestyles.

During the session, JS Moon, Head of R&D at the DA Business, highlighted how Samsung is customizing its 2026 appliance portfolio to cater to regional market demands. In North America, innovative products like the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo are driving growth. New kitchen packages featuring unified stainless-steel designs are set to meet local aesthetic preferences.

In Europe, where energy efficiency is paramount, Samsung has introduced appliances such as the Bespoke AI washer, which boasts an energy efficiency up to 65% greater than the region’s minimum requirements. These initiatives also extend to advanced HVAC solutions and sustainable kitchen products that reflect stringent environmental standards.

Meanwhile, in Latin America, Samsung’s laundry and air conditioning solutions are gaining traction. The company is also capitalizing on the growing interest in smart home ecosystems, particularly in Asia, where localized AI features, including regional language support and expanded AI Energy Mode, present significant growth opportunities.

“At Samsung, we aim to deliver meaningful AI experiences that are deeply aligned with local lifestyles and needs,” Moon stated. He emphasized the intent to broaden AI functionalities, such as AI Energy Mode, across various price points and product types, thereby enhancing accessibility.

Looking to the future, Samsung reaffirmed its strategy to move beyond traditional appliances into sectors like HVAC and modular homes, while also exploring insurance-based care that leverages AI. By fostering open collaboration and ensuring long-term software support, Samsung aims to alleviate household burdens and offer AI solutions that resonate with the day-to-day lives of consumers.

Samsung Electronics continues to inspire the world with innovative technologies across a variety of domains, including digital signage, smartphones, and home appliances. With its SmartThings ecosystem and commitment to AI integration, Samsung seeks to create an intelligent and cohesive connected experience for its users.
