Tesla’s FSD Launches in UAE by January 2026, Achieves Low Hallucination Rate

Tesla plans to launch its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system in the UAE by January 2026, enhancing urban mobility with advanced navigation capabilities.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on Monday that the company’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, referred to as FSD (Supervised), could potentially launch in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as early as January 2026. If Musk’s timeline is accurate, this would mark the beginning of FSD’s expansion into the Middle East, starting with the UAE next year.

The announcement came during a conversation on X (formerly Twitter), where UAE-based political analyst Ahmed Sharif Al Amiri inquired about the anticipated arrival of FSD in the country. Musk responded directly to the question, stating, “Hopefully, next month.” This interaction generated considerable excitement among users, many of whom expressed their eagerness for the FSD system to debut in a new region. The FSD (Supervised) functionality is expected to enable hands-off highway driving, urban navigation, and parking under driver supervision, particularly benefiting traffic-heavy cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Musk’s comments followed his recent visit to the UAE, where he met with notable figures, including the UAE Defense Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Dubai Crown Prince, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed. He shared a positive message about the country on X, declaring, “UAE rocks!” This enthusiasm appears to align with the growing interest in autonomous driving technologies worldwide.

FSD (Supervised) has been receiving substantial recognition from international media outlets. In a recent evaluation by Germany’s largest car magazine, Auto Bild, the system performed exceptionally well in Berlin’s challenging urban landscape. The test highlighted its adeptness at navigating dense traffic, construction sites, pedestrian crossings, and narrow streets while making smooth and confident decisions.

Journalist Robin Hornig emphasized the system’s advanced perception and tireless attention, stating, “Tesla FSD Supervised sees more than I do. It doesn’t get distracted and never gets tired.” She added, “I like to think I’m a good driver, but I can’t match this system’s all-around vision.” The demonstration required only one intervention when the system miscalculated a route, showcasing its progress while relying solely on vision-based sensors and over-the-air learning.

The anticipation surrounding FSD’s rollout in the UAE reflects a broader trend in the automotive and technology sectors, where interest in autonomous driving solutions is rapidly increasing. As Tesla continues to refine its FSD technology, the potential deployment across various global markets could reshape urban mobility and transportation dynamics.
