Hudson Williams Opens Dsquared2 Runway with AI-Enhanced Carly Simon Classic

Hudson Williams debuts on the Dsquared2 runway in Milan, featuring an AI-enhanced version of Carly Simon’s Oscar-winning “Let the River Run” to kick off Fashion Week.

Hudson Williams, star of *Heated Rivalry*, made a splash on the fashion scene with his catwalk model debut on January 16, opening the Dsquared2 fall 2026 runway show in Milan. The event featured an innovative A.I. reworking of Carly Simon’s “Let the River Run,” setting a dramatic tone for the presentation.

As anticipation builds for the 2026 Winter Olympics, which will take place in both Milan and Cortina, the Dsquared2 show embraced a winter sports theme, effectively closing the first day of Milan Fashion Week Men’s Fall/Winter 2026. The decision to orchestrate a showcase centered around this theme underscored the intersection of fashion and sporting culture.

The 15-minute runway show was propelled by an eclectic soundtrack, primarily a mash-up of various reinterpretations of “Let the River Run.” The initial two minutes featured an orchestral-rock twist on the Academy Award-winning track. On streaming platforms, the piece is listed under the title “Running on the Water,” credited to artists such as Kradex on Apple Music and Da Soul Orchestra on YouTube and Deezer. Notably, the track is labeled as “AI-generated content” on Deezer, signaling a growing trend in the music industry that merges technology with artistry. Da Soul Orchestra’s YouTube channel emphasizes its use of A.I. technology to rework iconic songs into new styles.

Originally penned for the 1988 film *Working Girl*, starring Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, and Melanie Griffith, Simon’s “Let the River Run” resonated with audiences in its opening sequence and end credits. The song garnered Simon an Oscar for Best Original Song and a Grammy Award for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television. It achieved notable chart success, reaching No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 11 on the Adult Contemporary airplay chart.

Milan Fashion Week is set to continue through January 20, drawing attention to emerging talents and established designers alike. Speculation surrounds whether Williams’ *Heated Rivalry* co-star, Connor Storrie, might also make a fashion debut, possibly walking for Dolce & Gabbana. However, W magazine reported that Storrie’s publicists have denied such rumors, leaving fans eager for any developments.
