Dr. Freeman currently serves as the state director of online learning for the North Carolina Community College System. With nearly 25 years of experience in both K–12 and higher education, he has trained thousands of educators and workforce leaders on the integration of AI in a responsible manner, alongside innovative program design that aligns with workforce needs. His strategies aim to empower organizations to adopt AI thoughtfully, balancing purpose, ethics, and impactful outcomes.
