CLE Cigars Launches AI-Driven Ordering Portal with 92% Accuracy for Retailers

CLE Cigars introduces an AI-powered Self-Service Portal that achieves 92% accuracy in optimizing retail orders, enhancing inventory management for boutique sectors.

CLE Cigars has launched an AI-powered Self-Service Portal aimed at assisting retailers in optimizing purchasing processes, alleviating inventory pressure, and ensuring a consistent stock of products, all without any additional costs. The platform is designed to enhance operational efficiency and is particularly significant for boutique industries often priced out of advanced technologies.

The portal analyzes a retailer’s purchasing history, focusing on order cycles from 2022, to generate week-by-week suggested orders based on historical trends and current buying patterns. During beta testing, which began in May 2025, the system achieved a remarkable accuracy rate of 92%. In instances where adjustments were necessary, the recommendations tended to be conservative, favoring underestimating growth as opposed to over-ordering.

The initiative seeks to eliminate uncertainty from purchasing decisions while simultaneously preventing stock shortages and excess inventory. Retailers using the system can access their order history, view current backorders, and obtain real-time, color-coded stock statuses for CLE SKUs. In addition, they can see multiple weeks of suggested orders and trending products within the portfolio. The platform also provides the flexibility to adjust suggested orders, allowing users to add or subtract quantities before completing their procurement.

While AI-driven replenishment tools have long been a staple in larger retail environments such as supermarkets and convenience stores, high costs have historically obstructed similar advancements in specialized sectors like premium cigars. CLE’s rollout signifies a shift towards a more data-driven approach to inventory management within the specialty tobacco channel.

To facilitate adoption of the new portal, CLE is offering free shipping on orders placed through the platform during March. To qualify, orders must include a minimum of four boxes and cannot exceed six weeks’ worth of product. This promotional effort is aimed at encouraging retailers to integrate the technology into their procurement processes.

Retailers can access the CLE Self-Service Portal at order.clecigars.com. Users simply need to enter their registered email addresses and can generate login credentials by selecting “Forgot Password.” For those requiring assistance, CLE customer service is available at 1-800-253-1429.

For retailers facing tighter margins and fluctuating consumer demand, AI-assisted ordering presents a notable operational advantage. This technology can help maintain stock consistency while lightening the load on in-house purchasing teams. As the specialty tobacco market continues to evolve, CLE’s innovative approach may pave the way for more tech-driven solutions tailored to niche industries.
