NBCUniversal Launches AI-Driven “Your Bravoverse” on Peacock Mobile, Curating 5,000+ Hours of Content

NBCUniversal’s Peacock app launches “Your Bravoverse,” an AI-driven feature curating over 5,000 hours of Bravo content into personalized video playlists.

NBCUniversal has unveiled a new suite of AI-driven features for its Peacock mobile app, prominently showcasing an interactive experience called “Your Bravoverse.” This feature, set to launch this summer, aims to tailor Bravo content for fans through generative AI and vertical video formats.

The “Your Bravoverse” feature will curate personalized playlists from a vast library of over 5,000 hours of Bravo programming. Designed as an endlessly scrollable vertical video feed, it will highlight iconic scenes, storylines, and behind-the-scenes moments from various Bravo franchises, making it easier for fans to engage with the content they love.

A digital avatar of Andy Cohen, the host of “Watch What Happens Live,” will guide users through the experience, introducing content and assisting fans in discovering related shows and moments within the Bravo universe. NBCUniversal noted that artificial intelligence plays a crucial role throughout this experience, facilitating the extraction of clips from Bravo’s extensive catalog, identifying key storylines via computer vision, and assembling curated playlists based on users’ viewing preferences.

Users will begin their journey by selecting their favorite Bravo shows and moments, prompting the platform to generate customized streams of clips. NBCUniversal claims that the system is capable of producing over 600 billion potential viewing variations, reflecting the diverse interests of its audience.

According to the company, the Andy Cohen avatar was developed using generative AI technology that replicates his voice and presentation style based on footage recorded in a specialized studio. Moreover, the AI-generated playlists are subject to review by NBCUniversal editors to ensure a level of quality and accuracy in the content delivered.

In addition to “Your Bravoverse,” Peacock showcased several other mobile features. The platform is set to introduce AI-powered real-time cropping for live sports broadcasts, allowing viewers to enjoy games in a vertical 9:16 format optimized for mobile devices. This feature, which will enter beta testing during NBA games this spring, aims to enhance the viewing experience for sports fans.

Peacock is also expanding its gaming offerings, launching two new mobile games developed in collaboration with Wolf Games. The games include “Law & Order: Clue Hunter,” which challenges players to identify suspects through hidden-object gameplay, and “Public Eye,” a narrative-driven mystery adventure slated for release this summer. Additionally, the app will introduce a daily trivia mini-game based on the popular show “Jeopardy!”

NBCUniversal emphasized that these updates aim to deepen fan engagement while positioning Peacock as a premier destination for interactive entertainment experiences tied to its television franchises and sports programming. The innovations reflect a broader trend in the industry where streaming platforms increasingly leverage artificial intelligence to enhance user experiences.

Matt Strauss, Chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, stated, “The best place for NBCUniversal’s fandoms to experience their favorite shows and movies is on our platforms, with Peacock serving as an immersive, premium destination that gives audiences new ways to connect and engage with our content. ‘Your Bravoverse’ is a first-of-its-kind experience for NBCU content — pairing our deep Bravo library with agentic and gen AI to create a personalized experience at scale, built in collaboration with Andy Cohen.”

Andy Cohen himself added, “If there’s one thing Bravo fans love, it’s being part of the conversation. ‘Your Bravoverse’ takes that to the next level by bringing AI into the mix and creating an experience that’s intuitive, interactive, and built entirely around the Bravo fandom.”

As streaming services continue to evolve in an increasingly competitive landscape, NBCUniversal’s innovations on the Peacock platform highlight a commitment to leveraging technology for enhanced viewer engagement and personalized content delivery. These developments could potentially set a new standard in how digital platforms utilize AI to create richer and more interactive user experiences.
