Geekom has entered the laptop market with its new GeekBook X16 Pro, a 16-inch machine that aims to deliver solid performance at a more affordable price point compared to competitors. Priced at around $1,699 with a 2TB SSD, the GeekBook X16 Pro boasts specifications that make it an attractive option for both casual users and professionals.
The laptop features an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, Intel Arc graphics, and up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, making it capable of handling a variety of tasks from image editing to web browsing. While Geekom has made a name for itself in the mini PC space, the GeekBook X16 Pro marks its first foray into laptops, and initial impressions suggest that the company has successfully transitioned into this competitive arena.

However, not all aspects shine; the fan noise has been noted as a downside. Users may find the high-pitched whine distracting, particularly during intensive tasks. Additionally, the GeekBook X16 Pro lacks support for Windows Hello facial recognition, relying instead on a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button for secure logins.
