The summit will commence with a ceremony led by PM Modi, signaling India’s emergence as a hub of AI innovation. The event is anticipated to gather leaders from numerous governments, technology executives, and AI experts, showcasing India’s capabilities in AI innovation. As reported by ET, the Ministry of Electronics & IT has received confirmations from major tech leaders, including Google, Microsoft, and Meta. Other prominent attendees will include Bill Gates and leaders from over 15 countries, such as President Emmanuel Macron of France and President Lula da Silva of Brazil. In a significant diplomatic move, India has officially invited China to participate in the summit, marking a noteworthy step in international engagement. This invitation reflects India’s intent to showcase its foundational AI models and to foster dialogue across borders. The logistical preparations for the summit are being handled by the Delhi government, which has undertaken extensive infrastructure upgrades to ensure a seamless experience for attendees. Key areas undergoing enhancement include Bharat Mandapam and surrounding venues, public transport systems near major sites like IGI Airport and Vigyan Bhawan, as well as tourist attractions such as the Qutub Minar and the Red Fort. A central control room has been established to manage security and civic arrangements, aiming to meet high international standards, even surpassing those seen during the recent G20 Summit.

The significance of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 cannot be overstated, as it serves to catalyze global innovation in AI through collaborative research and development. By fostering international partnerships in sectors like healthcare, governance, and agriculture, the summit underscores India’s technological prowess on the global stage and aims to establish standards and guidelines for ethical AI utilization worldwide.
