Stability AI has unveiled an upgraded version of its text-to-music AI tool, Stable Audio 2.0, allowing users to generate longer audio content of up to three minutes. The underlying model for Stable Audio 2.0 was trained exclusively on a licensed dataset sourced from the AudioSparx music library. To ensure fair compensation for creators, Stability AI has committed to honoring opt-out requests from musicians and artists whose works may be included in the dataset.
Alongside the free tier of Stable Audio 2.0, the company is also rolling out premium subscriptions that offer additional benefits, such as access to creator licenses and higher monthly limits for track generation. This dual-tier system aims to cater to a wide range of users, from casual creators to professional artists seeking more extensive resources for their projects.
