VCI Global Launches Malaysia’s First NVIDIA-Powered AI GPU Computing Center

VCI Global launches Malaysia’s first NVIDIA-powered AI GPU Computing Center, positioning itself as a leader in Southeast Asia’s burgeoning $40 billion AI infrastructure market.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, March 4, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — VCI Global Limited (NASDAQ: VCIG) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary V Gallant Sdn Bhd (V Gallant) has launched Malaysia’s first NVIDIA-powered AI GPU Computing Center on March 3, 2026. This development signifies a pivotal shift for VCI Global as it transitions into high-margin AI infrastructure ownership while monetizing recurring revenue.

The establishment of this operational facility positions VCI Global as a first-mover in AI compute in Southeast Asia, catering to governmental, enterprise, and SME sectors that face increasing AI compute demands and stringent data governance requirements. Complementing this launch, VCI Global also introduced Intelli-X, its standardized Enterprise Large Language Model (LLM) platform designed for secure generative AI deployment and workflow automation across regulated industries, government agencies, and SMEs.

The global AI infrastructure and cloud computing landscape is witnessing remarkable growth, primarily driven by the escalating demand for GPU-intensive workloads. In particular, the Asia-Pacific region is emerging as one of the fastest-growing markets for AI infrastructure, with forecasts indicating robust expansion in GPU-powered cloud and data center services. Malaysia is rapidly positioning itself as a key AI hub, with projected AI and data center investments set to exceed US$40 billion by 2030, fueled by commitments from foreign hyperscalers and supportive government measures. These initiatives are anticipated to contribute over US$115 billion to the national GDP by the end of the decade, reflecting the government’s commitment to advancing digital economic transformation, as noted by InvestKL and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).

In response to these macro trends, V Gallant is activating multiple revenue streams through its newly operational GPU Computing Center. The facility will enable enterprise-grade LLM training and fine-tuning, allowing clients to develop proprietary AI models in a secure environment, thus reducing reliance on offshore cloud services and mitigating data governance risks. Additionally, it supports high-performance AI workload execution in sectors such as finance, healthcare, logistics, energy, and government.

V Gallant has also transitioned into commercial operations, offering GPU compute leasing, dedicated private clusters, and a subscription-based model for its Enterprise LLM platform, Intelli-X. The localized AI contracts target regulated industries and public-sector clients, establishing a hybrid model that fosters high-margin recurring revenue streams and positions VCI Global as a notable AI infrastructure owner-operator in Southeast Asia.

Intelli-X features a Zero-Access Private LLM architecture, ensuring that sensitive government and enterprise data remains securely controlled. The platform boasts capabilities in secure document intelligence, predictive modeling, AI-assisted decision support, workflow automation for various business sizes, and sector-specific AI applications, addressing a major barrier to AI adoption: secure and compliant access to generative AI.

To bolster its market presence, V Gallant has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with strategic partners. Collaborations include efforts with Khalifa Intelligence to enhance market access and commercialization of AI solutions, a partnership with UCSI College for AI education and workforce development, and a collaboration with Favoriot for the deployment and integration of Intelli-X to facilitate enterprise adoption. These partnerships reinforce VCI Global’s ecosystem-driven approach, enhancing commercialization across SMEs, public-sector agencies, and regulated industries.

Dr. Chan Wai Mun, Chief AI & Data Officer of VCI Global, emphasized the strategic importance of this infrastructure, stating, “As AI infrastructure becomes a strategic national and enterprise priority, the launch through V Gallant positions VCI Global at the forefront of Malaysia’s AI transformation for SME enterprises and government agencies. By combining GPU compute infrastructure with our Intelli-X enterprise platform and strategic ecosystem partnerships, we are building a scalable AI commercialization engine designed to generate recurring revenue while supporting Malaysia’s long-term digital economy growth.”

V Gallant, a subsidiary of VCI Global Limited, is positioned as a Malaysian provider of AI infrastructure, GPU-as-a-Service, and cybersecurity solutions. The company aims to make advanced AI technology accessible and scalable for various organizations, focusing on reducing technological and financial barriers to broader AI adoption.

VCI Global Limited operates as a platform-based entity aimed at optimizing business through centralized intelligence, data, and capital discipline. Its structure allows subsidiaries to leverage VCI’s centralized AI, data governance, and capital allocation systems, which facilitate faster execution and scalable growth across diverse sectors. With ongoing evaluations of opportunities for scaling, divesting, or discontinuing underperforming businesses, VCI Global’s platform-centric approach aspires to enhance productivity and unlock long-term value through disciplined growth.
