Prophet Expands AI Team with Senior Hires to Enhance Decision Intelligence Platform

Prophet enhances its decision intelligence platform by hiring Senior Software Engineer Aysa Matueva and Frontend Developer Ruxin Ma to support rapid product growth.

Decision intelligence firm Prophet has appointed Senior Software Engineer Aysa Matueva and Frontend Developer Ruxin Ma as part of its strategy to expand its technology team in response to recent product and customer growth. The new hires will contribute to the company’s evolving capabilities, with Matueva focusing on backend systems and Ma leading the development of the user interface and customer experience.

These appointments coincide with Prophet’s efforts to scale its operations and broaden its product range, highlighted by the launch of the Prophet AI platform. This innovative platform enables organizations to simulate strategies through digital models of their operations, enhancing their decision-making capabilities.

Matueva brings nearly a decade of experience in backend system development, with expertise in distributed systems, data pipelines, and event-driven architecture. Her previous roles include senior developer positions at ANZ, Culture Amp, and Zendesk, as well as experience as a Full Stack Developer at General Assembly.

Ma, who began her career as a Product Manager at Baidu, has also worked at Himalaya Peak and QuickSite Guru. Both recruits are recognized for their product-oriented approach and a deep understanding of customer needs, aligning with Prophet’s emphasis on enhancing its platform’s presentation layer to support business teams.

According to Jordan Taylor-Bartels, Prophet’s Chief Executive, the new appointments were driven by the rapid pace of product development and increasing customer demand. “Prophet is a rapidly evolving organization, and we are continuously building and improving our decision intelligence platform to bring clients faster results and insights,” Taylor-Bartels stated. He emphasized the necessity of having a world-class development team to meet growing demand and achieve the company’s ambitions.

Both Matueva and Ma expressed enthusiasm for their new roles. Matueva noted her focus on system architecture and the challenges of integrating various information sources. “I’m someone who thrives in building event-driven systems at scale, and I’m happiest in fast-moving teams, where engineers care about quality, ownership, and solving real problems together,” she said. “Prophet ticks all the boxes with its impressive tech stack and innovative product.” Meanwhile, Ma highlighted her attraction to Prophet’s collaborative culture and commitment to delivering meaningful business impact for clients, stating, “I’m excited to grow alongside a talented team, working with cutting-edge technologies.”

The recruitment drive at Prophet extends beyond engineering, with the company also filling leadership roles in sales, hiring, and marketing science to bolster its go-to-market operations. Notable additions include James Sawyer as Vice President of Sales and Partnerships, Bec Geyer as head of talent acquisition, and Rachel Scott from Suncorp as Head of Marketing Science.

Furthermore, Prophet has expanded its national sales team, bringing on Carl Clasio and Leo Roubos to focus on revenue operations and growth. The company has also strengthened its Advisory Board by appointing Phil Davis, Vice President Global GTM at Google Cloud, and Professor Andrew Gelman of Columbia University, known for his expertise in Bayesian statistics and data modeling.

In terms of market performance, Prophet has seen customer uptake across various sectors, including retail, insurance, automotive, media, on-demand delivery, wagering, and cybersecurity. The firm was recognized as the AFR BOSS Most Innovative Company in the Media and Marketing category in 2025. Founded by Taylor-Bartels and Sean Taylor, a former CEO at Ogilvy and VMLY&R Commerce, Prophet launched its operations in Australia in 2024, positioning itself as a provider of mathematical insights into marketing performance.

As Matueva and Ma commence their roles, Prophet continues to recruit across both technical and commercial functions, signaling a commitment to enhancing platform development and customer delivery in the rapidly evolving decision intelligence landscape.
