LG Launches Gram Pro AI Laptops with Exaone 3.5 and 27-Hour Battery Life at CES 2026

LG unveils ultra-light Gram Pro AI laptops with Exaone 3.5 and up to 27 hours of battery life at CES 2026, revolutionizing portable computing.

LG Electronics has announced the upcoming launch of its ultra-light LG Gram Pro AI laptops at CES 2026. These new models will feature LG’s proprietary Exaone 3.5 generative AI model, designed for local processing, along with extended battery life, marking a significant advancement in portable computing.

The 2026 LG Gram Pro AI laptops will harness the capabilities of Exaone 3.5, a large language model developed by LG’s internal AI research team. This integration allows the laptops to perform a variety of AI functions directly on the device, reducing reliance on cloud connectivity. One of the standout features is “My Archive,” which facilitates the creation of a personal database from files stored on the user’s machine, enabling local searches that generate AI responses based on the user’s own data.

In keeping with the Gram series’ reputation for portability, the new laptops boast a lightweight design. The 16-inch Gram Pro model weighs only 1,199 grams, or 1.199 kilograms. Constructed from a next-generation material known as Aerominum, typically used in the aerospace sector, these laptops promise a robust yet lightweight build. They also come equipped with a 77Wh battery that offers an impressive battery life of up to 27 hours on a single charge. Furthermore, a rapid 30-minute charge provides over nine hours of usage, catering to the needs of users who require performance on the go.

LG’s strategy involves introducing a total of seven models in the new Gram lineup, set to debut in the South Korean domestic market starting January 6, 2026. Among these new offerings are the LG Gram Pro AI, LG Gram Pro 360 AI, and LG Grambook AI. This launch follows the release of two Gram Pro models in July 2025, which were powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 series 2 chipset and featured a dedicated Nvidia RTX 5050 GPU.

This latest move by LG signals its commitment to merging advanced artificial intelligence capabilities with the convenience of portable computing. As competition in the laptop market intensifies, the introduction of AI-driven features and extended battery life positions LG to appeal to a tech-savvy audience that values both performance and mobility. With the unveiling at CES 2026, the company seeks to solidify its presence in a rapidly evolving landscape where on-device processing and user-centric functionalities are increasingly prioritized.
