Runway Launches Gen-4.5 and GWM-1 Models on NVIDIA Rubin for High-Fidelity Video Generation

Runway unveils its Gen-4.5 video generation model, leveraging NVIDIA’s Rubin platform for real-time, high-fidelity video creation utilizing 50 petaflops of GPU power.

Runway has announced the deployment of its Gen-4.5 video generation model and the new GWM-1 general world model family on NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin NVL72 platform. These advancements position Runway among the first to showcase high-performance, long-context video generation capabilities on NVIDIA’s latest AI infrastructure. The Gen-4.5 model, hailed as the leading video generation model globally, transitioned from the previous NVIDIA Hopper architecture to Rubin within just one day, demonstrating full compatibility and readiness for large-scale production workloads.

The Gen-4.5 model is engineered for real-time, high-fidelity video generation, utilizing a formidable 50 petaflops of inference compute per GPU to produce longer and more intricate video sequences. Complementing this, Runway’s GWM-1 introduces real-time, physics-aware simulations, aimed at enhancing applications such as robotics training, explorable virtual environments, and interactive avatars. This represents a significant expansion of generative AI capabilities, extending beyond traditional static images or text-based models.

Both models are now available to enterprise and research partners, with the Rubin platform facilitating global deployment across sectors including entertainment, robotics, and virtual reality. Runway, recognized as a leader in creative AI tools, has been in close collaboration with NVIDIA to push the boundaries of generative AI, emphasizing infrastructure that can accommodate demanding computational workloads.

The partnership with NVIDIA reflects a strategic commitment to making advanced video and world simulation technologies accessible to industry professionals and researchers. This collaboration aims to enable broader experimentation and practical deployment of AI systems capable of understanding and simulating the physical world.

As the technology landscape continues to evolve, Runway’s latest advancements may redefine the potential applications of generative AI. By harnessing NVIDIA’s robust infrastructure, Runway is poised to empower industries to integrate more complex video generation and simulation capabilities into their operations, ushering in a new era of interactive and immersive experiences.
