Relativity, a legal data intelligence company, has launched its generative AI-powered case intelligence solution, aiR for Case Strategy, for general availability as of January 12, 2026. Designed specifically for lawyers and litigation professionals, this innovative tool aims to streamline the process of developing case narratives by auto-extracting key facts, visualizing chronologies, and generating summaries of documents, witness testimonies, and transcripts. The solution promises to enhance collaboration and efficiency in legal case preparation.
Phil Saunders, CEO of Relativity, stated, “Generative AI is redefining what’s possible in case preparation, empowering legal teams to move from information to insight with greater speed and precision than ever before.” He emphasized the importance of equipping partners and clients with a clearer understanding of their legal matters, thereby enabling them to focus more effectively on serving their clients and advancing justice.
Early adopters of aiR for Case Strategy have reported significant time and cost efficiencies. More than 50 customers participated in a limited general availability program, extracting approximately 600,000 facts. These users found that tasks that previously consumed hours—such as sifting through emails, chats, and contracts to build chronologies and draft summaries—now take mere minutes. This efficiency allows legal teams to uncover case narratives more quickly, enabling them to focus on strategic planning and preparation.
“With aiR for Case Strategy, we can see the story behind the evidence much earlier in the process,” said Michael Song, Head of GTDocs at Gilbert + Tobin. He noted that the solution transforms information into actionable insights, freeing attorneys to concentrate on strategy and anticipating challenges, thus maximizing their impact on the case.
The new solution offers advanced visualization tools that help identify gaps in the data, allowing teams to construct a more comprehensive understanding of events. aiR for Case Strategy generates holistic witness summaries, providing clarity on key players and aiding in decisions regarding whether depositions are warranted. Additionally, it supplies a rich set of interview questions based on documents and underlying facts, enhancing the ability of teams to probe each individual’s role in the case.
Martha Louks, Managing Director of Discovery Technology Services at McDermott Will & Emery, commented, “aiR for Case Strategy dramatically reduces the manual work of extracting facts and building useful timelines in Relativity. It eliminates tedious processes, allowing attorneys to focus on case analysis and strategy.”
Relativity partner Page One, Inc. applied aiR for Case Strategy in a high-pressure financial services case, where lengthy deposition transcripts posed a significant challenge. The solution allowed the team to summarize and review 32 transcripts—each containing over 200 pages—identifying and organizing crucial information 70% faster than traditional methods. Andrew Milauskas, Chief Operating Officer of Page One, Inc., remarked, “aiR for Case Strategy exceeded expectations by proving not just that it worked, but that it was repeatable, defensible, and intuitive.”
In addition to its capabilities for transcript management, the solution fosters a centralized collaborative environment within RelativityOne, where case teams can work from a shared repository of key case intelligence. This integration encourages tighter collaboration among teams, as they can move seamlessly from document review to crafting strategic narratives and preparing for various legal proceedings.
Michael Frankel, Counsel at Troutman Pepper Locke, noted the transformative impact of generative AI tools, stating that they are breaking down silos within legal teams, allowing for earlier contributions to case narratives. “What we’re seeing now is tighter overlap across teams, reviewers, and partners working from the same pool of insights,” he said.
Currently, aiR for Case Strategy is available in multiple countries, including the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, and others, with plans for expansion into additional markets. The solution is also projected to launch in RelativityOne Government in the first half of 2026. Relativity will host a webinar on February 19 at 12 p.m. CT to explore how AI is reshaping case strategy and expediting the pursuit of legal truth.
