BIOSTAR Launches EdgeComp MU-N150 and MS-NANO for Scalable AI and IoT Solutions

BIOSTAR unveils dual-track EdgeComp MU-N150 and MS-NANO solutions, enhancing IoT and edge AI capabilities with advanced Intel and NVIDIA processors.

BIOSTAR has unveiled a new dual-track edge computing approach for its EdgeComp industrial computing portfolio, catering to the increasing demands of IoT deployments and edge AI applications. Announced on January 21, 2026, the EdgeComp lineup allows system designers to implement purpose-built platforms tailored to specific application needs. The two specialized solutions include the EdgeComp MU-N150, optimized for edge computing and IoT environments, and the EdgeComp MS-NANO, designed to handle intensive edge AI workloads such as AI vision and intelligent automation.

The fanless and compact EdgeComp MU-N150 utilizes the Intel Twin Lake N150 quad-core processor, offering triple 4K display output through HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C. It features dual 2.5GbE LAN connectivity, making it well-suited for applications like digital signage, smart retail systems, and environmental monitoring within IoT-driven edge environments.

On the other hand, the EdgeComp MS-NANO is engineered around NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano modules, delivering scalable AI performance for real-time inference and data-intensive workloads. This model supports various modern AI frameworks and includes industrial-grade I/O options such as CAN bus and multiple serial interfaces. With flexible expansion capabilities for wireless and cellular connectivity, the MS-NANO is ideal for automation systems, robotics, and intelligent infrastructure in edge AI applications, particularly in industrial and smart city contexts.

BIOSTAR plans to showcase its complete range of EdgeComp solutions at the upcoming embedded world Germany 2026. Attendees visiting BIOSTAR’s booth (Hall 3, Booth 3-456) will be able to experience firsthand how the company’s edge computing innovations enable smarter and more efficient industrial applications. This event highlights the growing intersection of edge computing and AI, emphasizing the need for robust platforms that support diverse application requirements in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

As industries increasingly integrate IoT and AI technologies, solutions like BIOSTAR’s EdgeComp portfolio may prove pivotal in enabling organizations to enhance operational efficiency and performance. For more information about BIOSTAR and its offerings, visit biostar.com.tw.
