Qadi, the Middle East’s first sovereign regulatory compliance platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Core42, a subsidiary of G42. As part of this collaboration, Qadi will leverage Core42’s sovereign cloud infrastructure to enhance its services. This partnership is particularly significant as it ensures that all sensitive legal and compliance data remains within the jurisdiction of the UAE, addressing critical requirements for institutions in the region.
The core of this alliance is the integration of Qadi’s operations with Core42’s Sovereign Public Cloud, which guarantees that all data, artificial intelligence model training, and computational processes are conducted within the UAE. For industries such as law and finance, maintaining data sovereignty is not merely a feature but an essential prerequisite for operational integrity. This in-country data residency provides Qadi with a vital competitive edge, assuring clients that their information is secured under local laws and enterprise-grade governance.
Mohamad El Charif, Founder of Qadi, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, “Partnering with Core42 gives us the infrastructure we need to operate confidently at scale. Our collaboration with Core42 strengthens our ability to deliver this vision while maintaining the strict data sovereignty our clients expect.” This alignment is particularly relevant as the legal technology sector has historically relied on fragmented tools for discrete tasks.
Qadi’s innovative model represents a structural shift in legal tech by transforming local laws and regulations into AI agents capable of proactively integrating compliance checks into business workflows. Unlike traditional approaches where a lawyer would utilize an AI copilot for contract review, Qadi’s AI agents can automatically conduct initial reviews of non-disclosure agreements against local requirements and internal policies. This paradigm shift redefines the value chain from reactive support to a proactive compliance engine.
“Qadi is doing something distinct. We aren’t just building a copilot; we’re building the engine for compliance automation,” El Charif added. “By bridging the gap between strategic legal advisory and AI, Qadi empowers the next generation of legal services in the region.”
This partnership is also timely, following Qadi’s pre-seed funding round led by Incubayt earlier this year. Although the specific funding amount was not disclosed, the capital is being allocated to enhance the platform’s engineering capabilities and extend regional partnerships. The collaboration with Core42 serves as a technical foundation for this expansion, enabling Qadi to scale its offerings effectively.
Mohammed Retmi, Vice President of Sovereign Public Cloud at Core42, highlighted the significance of this initiative, remarking, “The legal sector has long needed tools that reflect the region’s requirements. Working with Qadi allows us to offer our cloud and AI capabilities to a field that has unique sensitivities around data protection and compliance.” This partnership aligns with the UAE’s broader digital transformation goals, positioning legal technology as a crucial enabler in the evolving landscape.
Qadi’s partnership with Core42 underscores a growing recognition of the need for localized solutions in the legal sector, reflecting a commitment to data sovereignty and secure operations. As the MENAT region continues to embrace digital innovation, such collaborations are expected to play an integral role in shaping the future of legal services.
