Dassault Systèmes and NVIDIA have announced a long-term strategic partnership aimed at creating a shared industrial artificial intelligence platform that integrates virtual twin technology with advanced AI infrastructure. The collaboration, revealed during Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE World event, seeks to enhance design, simulation, and manufacturing capabilities across various industries.
The partnership leverages Dassault Systèmes’ expertise in virtual twin technology and NVIDIA’s advanced AI platforms, software libraries, and open models to develop scientifically validated industry “world models.” These models are expected to empower companies in designing, testing, and operating complex systems spanning engineering, manufacturing, life sciences, and materials research.
The new platform will be deployed at scale within Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE ecosystem. NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and Omniverse technologies will serve as the foundational AI infrastructure, allowing for a shift in industrial AI from merely predictive and generative applications to systems based on physics and real-world data.
As part of this collaboration, Dassault Systèmes’ cloud arm, OUTSCALE, will establish AI factories utilizing NVIDIA infrastructure across multiple regions. This initiative aims to support the development and operation of AI models while ensuring data sovereignty and protecting intellectual property. Additionally, NVIDIA will adopt Dassault Systèmes’ model-based systems engineering approach for designing AI factories, beginning with its Rubin platform.
The potential applications of this initiative are broad, encompassing sectors such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and life sciences. Industry players, including Bel Group, OMRON, and Lucid, have underscored the collaboration’s promise to enhance simulation capabilities, shorten development cycles, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
This partnership highlights the increasing importance of industrial AI as a fundamental technology in engineering and manufacturing. By integrating cutting-edge technologies from both companies, the collaboration aims to accelerate innovation and streamline complex industrial processes, setting a new standard for AI-driven engineering and design.
