Nebius Reports 547% Revenue Surge in Q4 but Falls Short; Plans New 240MW Data Center in France

Nebius reports a 547% revenue surge to $227.7M in Q4 2025, plans a major 240MW data center in France, but faces a $173M adjusted net loss.

Nebius, an AI cloud computing service provider, has reported its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2025, revealing a remarkable revenue growth of 547% year-over-year to USD 227.7 million. However, this figure fell short of market expectations, which anticipated revenues of USD 247.5 million. The company also registered an adjusted Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) of USD 15 million and an adjusted net loss of USD 173 million, a significant increase of 151% from a net loss of USD 69 million in the same period last year.

As a key player in the rapidly evolving AI cloud sector, Nebius provides essential services leveraging NVIDIA GPUs to enhance enterprise AI infrastructures. The global demand for AI computing power has surged, impacting even established cloud giants like Microsoft and Amazon, which are currently grappling with resource shortages. This burgeoning need has positioned Nebius favorably amidst intense competition from peers like CoreWeave.

Nebius has gained notable traction through significant partnerships with major American tech companies, including a USD 17 billion collaboration with Microsoft and a USD 3 billion order from Meta. Such agreements underscore Nebius’s growing influence in the AI infrastructure landscape, further fueled by an increase in demand for high-performance computing capabilities.

In a move that reflects its commitment to expansion, Nebius announced plans to construct a new 240-megawatt data center in Béthune, France. This facility, once operational, will rank among the largest data centers in Europe. The project involves repurposing the former Pirelli tire factory, with Tom Blackwell, the company’s Chief Communications Officer, indicating that the center will be commissioned in phases. The first facilities are expected to be operational by late summer, and approximately half of the site is projected to be ready for use by the end of 2026. Although Nebius has not disclosed the financial terms associated with this project, data centers of this scale typically require billions of euros in investment.

As the demand for AI resources continues to accelerate, Nebius’s strategic initiatives, including its latest data center project, aim to bolster its position in a competitive marketplace. The company’s performance in the fourth quarter, while not meeting expectations, illustrates the volatility and rapid growth inherent in the AI sector. Looking ahead, Nebius’s ability to adapt to market demands and secure partnerships will be crucial in navigating the challenges of an evolving technology landscape.
