Dell Launches AI Data Platform with NVIDIA to Automate Data Lifecycle and Enhance AI Performance

Dell Technologies, in partnership with NVIDIA, unveils the AI Data Platform to streamline data lifecycle management, enhancing AI performance and addressing enterprise data challenges.

Dell Technologies has launched the Dell AI Data Platform in collaboration with NVIDIA, aiming to revolutionize how enterprises manage and utilize data for AI applications and autonomous systems. This initiative, announced recently, seeks to tackle the pervasive issues of siloed data, inadequate governance, and performance constraints that frequently hinder the adoption of AI technologies across industries.

The platform integrates Dell’s robust data infrastructure with NVIDIA’s advanced AI capabilities, facilitating the automation of the entire data lifecycle—from discovery and preparation to deployment. One of its core features is the Dell Data Orchestration Engine, which empowers organizations to convert both structured and unstructured data into datasets optimized for AI usage. Accompanying this is a marketplace that offers pre-built workflows and models, streamlining the deployment process.

Furthermore, the platform supports NVIDIA’s AI-Q blueprint, enabling enterprises to develop AI agents capable of real-time decision-making. A notable innovation within this framework is the introduction of an AI Assistant in the Dell Data Analytics Engine, featuring a conversational interface that allows users to engage with data without requiring extensive technical expertise. This user-friendly approach, combined with GPU-accelerated capabilities, is expected to significantly enhance processing speeds, indexing, and query performance.

High-performance storage solutions are also a pivotal component of the new platform. Dell has unveiled advanced storage technologies, such as the Lightning File System and Exascale Storage, engineered to support large-scale AI workloads. These innovations are designed to provide high throughput while eliminating bottlenecks, which is critical for optimizing GPU utilization and expediting data processing in complex AI applications.

Addressing the challenges faced by enterprises in India, Venkat Sitaram, Senior Director & Country Head of the Infrastructure Solutions Group at Dell Technologies India, emphasized the importance of managing vast amounts of siloed and unstructured data. “The biggest challenge enterprises in India face when moving AI from pilot to production is organizing and activating the vast amounts of data they already have,” he noted. Sitaram added that the Dell AI Data Platform with NVIDIA aims to streamline the entire AI data lifecycle while ensuring governance and performance at scale. “Together with NVIDIA, we are helping define the future of enterprise AI infrastructure for India, where data becomes the true engine of AI innovation.”

Echoing Sitaram’s sentiments, Jason Hardy, Vice President of Storage Technologies at NVIDIA, remarked on the shifting landscape necessitating a new approach to data infrastructure. He stated, “The shift to autonomous agents requires a fundamentally different approach to data infrastructure, with automated orchestration, AI-native storage and GPU-optimized performance architected to work together. Dell’s enterprise expertise, combined with full-stack NVIDIA AI infrastructure, creates the foundation organizations need to deploy AI at scale.”

The unveiling of the Dell AI Data Platform coincides with the second anniversary of the Dell AI Factory in collaboration with NVIDIA, highlighting a period of robust customer adoption and tangible benefits resulting from enterprise AI deployments. As organizations increasingly recognize the critical role of data in driving AI advancements, this partnership positions Dell and NVIDIA at the forefront of an evolving market landscape.
