ServiceNow has announced the completion of its acquisition of Moveworks, a move aimed at bolstering its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and advancing its vision of making AI a core component of workplace efficiency. The integration combines ServiceNow’s trusted agentic AI and intelligent workflows with Moveworks’ intuitive front-end AI assistant, enterprise search, and Reasoning Engine. This collaboration aims to redefine employee engagement, enhance productivity, and accelerate the adoption of AI tools across businesses.
“Moveworks accelerates ServiceNow’s vision to put AI to work for people across every corner of every business,” said Amit Zavery, ServiceNow’s president, chief operating officer, and chief product officer. He noted that the combined technologies will create an “AI-native front door” that allows customers to autonomously resolve issues, trigger intelligent workflows, and achieve results with enhanced security and responsibility.
Bhavin Shah, CEO of Moveworks, emphasized that the partnership will scale their shared vision of effortless work. “By joining ServiceNow, we can now scale this agentic strategy for any organization by connecting our AI Assistant and enterprise search, powered by our Reasoning Engine, with ServiceNow’s trusted workflow automation and AI governance,” Shah remarked. He stated that this collaboration is set to deliver fast and secure end-to-end resolutions for employees in various sectors.
The acquisition is expected to enhance the ServiceNow AI Platform, which already automates work at scale with built-in trust and transparency. By seamlessly integrating Moveworks’ capabilities, ServiceNow can offer an intuitive front-end interface that allows employees to communicate and take action naturally, regardless of their work environment. This union is designed to create intelligent experiences that link every request to autonomous fulfillment, thereby breaking down organizational silos and promoting productivity across the enterprise.
AI is already making significant strides within ServiceNow, with AI agents resolving 90% of IT requests and 89% of customer support requests autonomously, resulting in resolution times that are nearly sevenfold faster than traditional methods. The addition of Moveworks will deepen these capabilities, taking advantage of the existing integration between the two companies. Moveworks is trusted by major global enterprises such as Siemens, Toyota, and Unilever, and boasts over 5.5 million employee users. Approximately 250 mutual customers currently utilize both technologies, showcasing a proven approach to enhancing AI adoption across organizations.
Nearly 90% of Moveworks customers have successfully deployed the technology to all of their employees, reflecting substantial enterprise-wide usage. The fusion of expertise from both companies, including hundreds of AI specialists joining ServiceNow through this acquisition, is expected to further drive innovation and accelerate the scaling of ServiceNow’s AI roadmap.
This acquisition not only strengthens the ServiceNow AI Platform but also enhances its ability to deliver transformative experiences by understanding employee requests through natural prompts. The merger is poised to connect users with the right enterprise data, AI agents, or workflows, creating a more efficient end-to-end digital experience across IT, HR, and other departments—all on a flexible and scalable platform.
As the landscape of workplace technology continues to evolve, the integration of Moveworks into ServiceNow marks a significant step toward a future where AI is seamlessly embedded into everyday business processes. This partnership has the potential to redefine how organizations approach workflow automation and employee engagement, setting a new standard for operational efficiency in the digital age.
