ISG Launches Study on Microsoft AI Services to Enhance Enterprise Business Processes

ISG initiates a comprehensive study to evaluate over 320 Microsoft AI service providers, set to reveal insights in July 2026 on enterprise process redesign.

Information Services Group (ISG), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm, has announced the initiation of a comprehensive research study aimed at evaluating service providers that assist enterprises in redesigning their business processes using Microsoft’s AI-embedded platforms. The findings of this study are set to be published in a series of ISG Provider Lens® reports, under the title Microsoft AI and Cloud Ecosystem, scheduled for release in July 2026.

This upcoming series will cover a range of companies offering services related to Microsoft’s productivity tools, Azure-based data transformation, and AI services. It will also assess Azure managed services and professional services specifically tailored to the Azure framework. These reports will provide valuable insights for enterprise buyers looking to evaluate their existing vendor relationships, explore potential new partnerships, and understand the offerings available in the market.

Microsoft is increasingly integrating various productivity tools, analytics, collaboration platforms, and AI-driven innovations to meet enterprise demands. This effort is encapsulated in the rising use of features powered by Copilot, AI agents, and agentic workflows, all designed to automate routine tasks, enhance collaboration, and boost productivity across applications. As enterprises pursue large-scale data transformation and AI-enabled decision-making, platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, and Dynamics 365 are becoming instrumental in this shift.

“Enterprises around the world are seeking Microsoft partners that can address key AI-related challenges such as cultural shifts, trust, large-scale adoption, and return on investment,” stated Heiko Henkes, principal analyst at ISG. He emphasized that organizations aim to evolve into human-led, agent-operated entities that improve productivity while supporting broader business objectives.

As part of the research, ISG has initiated surveys targeting over 320 providers within the Microsoft ecosystem. Collaborating closely with ISG’s global advisors, the research team will categorize providers into four distinct quadrants based on typical enterprise purchases, informed by ISG’s extensive client interactions. The quadrants include:

Microsoft Productivity and Business Process Services, which evaluates providers offering consulting, implementation, integration, and managed services across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform.

Azure Data Transformation and AI Services, focusing on providers that specialize in enterprise data and AI ecosystems, assisting clients in transitioning from unified data platforms to unified intelligence platforms through Microsoft technologies like CoreAI and Azure ML.

Azure Managed Services, which covers providers delivering managed public cloud services that extend Azure’s native infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) capabilities, emphasizing their operational monitoring and remediation skills.

Azure Professional Services, assessing U.S.-based providers that offer consulting and migration services to help businesses through their Azure transformations while ensuring adherence to evolving compliance standards.

Reports from this study will be geographically focused, examining the global Microsoft AI and cloud ecosystem market as well as available products and services across regions, including Asia Pacific, Brazil, Germany, Switzerland, and the U.S.. Notable ISG analysts such as Siddharth Idnani (Asia Pacific) and Dr. Tapati Bandopadhyay (U.S.) will author these evaluations.

A detailed list of identified providers, vendors, and additional study information can be found in an accompanying digital brochure. Companies wishing to be considered as Microsoft AI and cloud ecosystem providers are encouraged to reach out to ISG for inclusion in the study.

The 2026 ISG Provider Lens® evaluations will feature enhanced customer experience (CX) data, capturing firsthand enterprise experiences with specific provider services and solutions, drawn from ISG’s ongoing CX research.

Founded in 2006, ISG has established itself as a leader in technology and business services and is now leveraging AI to assist organizations in achieving operational excellence and accelerated growth. The firm partners with over 900 clients, including 75 of the top 100 global enterprises, and is recognized for its data-driven market insights and extensive expertise.
