Holywater Tech Acquires Visual Effects Company Jeynix
Holywater, an AI-first vertical video company, has acquired visual effects firm Jeynix, with the announcement coming from The Hollywood Reporter. Following the acquisition, Holywater will rebrand itself as Holywater Tech, a move intended to better reflect its technology-driven identity.
Founded in Ukraine, Holywater is known for its innovative platforms: My Drama for microdramas, My Passion for books, and My Muse, an AI streaming platform. While operating out of Ukraine, the company primarily targets the U.S. vertical video market. Jeynix, founded just last year, specializes in high-end AI-assisted production, particularly in hyper-realistic visual effects and performance preservation for video content.
With the integration of Jeynix, Holywater Tech aims to “deliver cinematic-quality visuals at scale,” while keeping production budgets low—an essential requirement for microdramas. The partnership is expected to facilitate rapid localization across various markets within days, enhancing the company’s production capabilities.
Holywater Tech has gained significant attention recently, having secured its largest financing round to date, amounting to $22 million, with investments coming from U.S.-based companies. This financial boost is likely to support its growth trajectory in the competitive vertical video landscape.
In a notable collaboration, Fox Entertainment announced in October 2025 that it would take an equity stake in Holywater Tech, pledging to collaborate on producing over 200 shows over the next two years. This partnership is part of a broader strategy to harness the creative potential of platforms like My Drama, which is set to debut narrative-driven titles developed in conjunction with YouTube super-creator Dhar Mann.
The acquisition of Jeynix is seen as a strategic move to enhance Holywater Tech’s production quality and efficiency. Jeynix’s expertise in facial animation, de-aging, and lip-sync technology will be pivotal in creating more immersive experiences for audiences. Bogdan Nesvit and Anatolii Kasianov, co-founders and co-CEOs of Holywater Tech, expressed their enthusiasm for this acquisition, stating, “Jeynix demonstrated a level of visual truth and performance preservation like face matching that we simply couldn’t find elsewhere.”
Holywater Tech aims to redefine the entertainment sector by merging creators’ imagination with cutting-edge technology, particularly AI, to unlock new creative possibilities at scale. The founders are optimistic that bringing Jeynix’s innovative tools in-house will allow them to reinvest production budgets into higher quality outputs and achieve more consistent results across their portfolio.
Jeynix’s founder, Nemir Yevhen, also conveyed excitement about the future, indicating that the collaboration would provide audiences with unique ways to engage with content, allowing them to personalize their experiences with each scene. This forward-looking approach could set a new standard in the entertainment industry as it moves further into the digital age.
The convergence of AI technology with traditional media formats continues to gain traction, and with Holywater Tech’s strategic initiatives, the company appears well-positioned to lead in this evolving landscape. As the demand for high-quality, localized content surges, partnerships like that of Holywater Tech and Jeynix may well define the next chapter in entertainment innovation.
