AMD’s financial performance for the fourth quarter and the full fiscal year 2025 indicates a strong upward trajectory, reflecting the company’s strategic initiatives in the AI sector. During the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, AMD unveiled several innovations aimed at democratizing AI access, as highlighted by Dr. Lisa Su, the company’s Chair and CEO. For the year 2025, AMD reported record revenue of $34.6 billion, a gross margin of 50%, operating income of $3.7 billion, and net income of $4.3 billion. Dr. Su characterized 2025 as “a defining year for AMD,” driven by exceptional execution and widespread demand for high-performance and AI platforms.
Entering 2026, Dr. Su noted that AMD is experiencing strong momentum, largely due to the rapid adoption of its EPYC and Ryzen CPUs and significant expansion within its data center AI business. This positive trend is echoed in the APAC region, where AMD has implemented substantial infrastructure investments, including plans for new research and development hubs in Taiwan. Furthermore, AMD has expanded its collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services to co-develop a rack-scale AI infrastructure design based on the AMD “Helios” platform, supporting India’s national AI initiatives.
In an interview with CRN Asia, Navolokin discussed the implications of AMD’s AI-focused initiatives specifically for businesses in the ASEAN region. The platform integrates AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs, EPYC “Venice” CPUs, and Pensando “Vulcano” NICs, boasting up to 3 AI exaflops of performance within a single rack. This design emphasizes maximum bandwidth and energy efficiency, appealing to businesses seeking to scale demanding AI workloads.
Meanwhile, the refreshed Ryzen AI 400 Series processors are set to enhance organizational capabilities in AI tasks. These chips allow for high performance and dedicated neural processing units (NPUs) that deliver up to 60 TOPS, facilitating faster multitasking and AI-enhanced productivity. In enterprise settings, the Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series further supports on-device AI acceleration, enabling smarter workflows and enhanced collaboration while meeting enterprise standards for security and manageability.
The introduction of platforms like Ryzen AI Max+ 392 and 388 will enable advanced local inference and sophisticated content creation, accommodating models of up to 128 billion parameters with 128GB of unified memory. This versatility allows organizations to scale their AI operations, giving them more control over performance, cost, and data management as AI increasingly shapes workflows.
As demand for AI infrastructure continues to soar, AMD’s commitment to providing tailored solutions is evident.
