Samsung Launches Galaxy Book 6 Series in India with Intel Core Ultra Chips and AI Enhancements

Samsung unveils its Galaxy Book 6 series in India, featuring Intel Core Ultra chips that deliver a 60% performance boost, starting at ₹1,27,990.

Samsung has officially launched its Galaxy Book 6 series in India, introducing a premium line of laptops designed with a focus on AI-driven productivity and enhanced performance. The new series, which includes the Galaxy Book 6, Galaxy Book 6 Pro, and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, starts at a price of ₹1,27,990. This marks the first launch of Samsung’s latest PC lineup in India, following its global introduction earlier this year, which emphasized the integration of on-device AI and advanced Intel processors.

Central to the Galaxy Book 6 series are the new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, built on Intel’s 18A architecture. These chips are designed to efficiently manage CPU, GPU, and AI workloads, with Samsung claiming a performance boost of over 60 percent compared to the previous generation. The Ultra models feature configurations of Ultra X7 and Ultra 7, while the Pro version offers Ultra X7, Ultra 7, and Ultra 5 options. The standard Galaxy Book 6 is equipped with Ultra 7 and Ultra 5 chip options. Notably, the processors include a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS, which facilitates on-device AI tasks like image editing, translation, and intelligent search without the need for cloud connectivity.

The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra also features a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, making it suitable for demanding tasks such as video editing, AI content generation, and gaming. In terms of design, Samsung has prioritized portability without sacrificing performance. Both the Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Ultra showcase a redesigned cooling system that includes a larger vapor chamber and improved airflow, which helps sustain performance under load. The laptops are slimmer than their predecessors, with the Ultra measuring just 15.4mm and the Pro at a mere 11.9mm.

Battery life represents another significant advancement, with Samsung claiming up to 30 hours of video playback on the Ultra and Pro models. Fast charging technology allows users to restore up to 63 percent of the battery in just 30 minutes, enhancing the overall user experience.

Display and multimedia features have also seen upgrades, particularly in the Pro and Ultra models, which come equipped with 14-inch and 16-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays. These screens boast peak HDR brightness of up to 1000 nits and adaptive refresh rates that can range from 30Hz to 120Hz. Additionally, the Ultra model upgrades its audio output with a six-speaker system that supports Dolby Atmos, catering to users who rely on their laptops for both work and entertainment.

The Galaxy Book 6 series is positioned as an AI-centric PC, integrating features across both hardware and software to enhance productivity. Tools such as AI Select, Note Assist, and natural language search have been developed to streamline workflows. Furthermore, the laptops are compatible with Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC experience, which offers AI-assisted writing, research, and task management capabilities within Windows 11.

Samsung continues to emphasize ecosystem integration, with features such as Multi Control, Second Screen, and Link to Windows, allowing seamless interaction between Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and PCs. This interconnected approach aims to provide users with a cohesive and efficient experience across devices.

The Galaxy Book 6 series is available in various configurations, with pricing structured as follows: the Galaxy Book 6 starts at ₹1,27,990, the Galaxy Book 6 Pro begins at ₹1,78,990, and the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra starts at ₹2,42,990. To encourage purchases, Samsung is offering up to 24-month zero-interest EMI options and cashback offers on select models, making the new lineup accessible to a broader audience.

As Samsung aims to capture a larger share of the premium laptop market in India, the Galaxy Book 6 series reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and user-centric design, positioning it favorably against competitors in the evolving tech landscape.
