Dtonic Launches AI-Driven ‘Pharmkeeper’ for Enhanced Pharmacy Security and Efficiency

Dtonic launches Parmkeeper, an AI-driven service enhancing pharmacy security and efficiency, set to debut at Pharm EXPO 2025 in Seoul on October 30.

Dtonic, a company specializing in AI data platforms, has unveiled its latest offering, a one-stop service called Parmkeeper, aimed at enhancing the convenience and safety of pharmacy operations. The launch was announced on October 27, and the service will be showcased at the upcoming Pharm EXPO 2025, taking place at COEX in Seoul on October 30.

Utilizing advanced technologies such as AI Internet of Things (AIoT), the Parmkeeper service is designed to digitize pharmacy functions, including security management and prescription oversight. This integrated service aims to transform conventional pharmacies into “smart pharmacies,” significantly reducing the time pharmacists spend on repetitive tasks and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Parmkeeper features a cloud-based AI system that supports rapid search and detection capabilities via AI CCTV, which bolsters security within pharmacy settings. This not only helps to mitigate potential disputes but also ensures compliance with relevant laws regarding prescription storage and video surveillance regulations. By automating the documentation process, pharmacists can expect to see dramatic improvements in how prescriptions are managed and stored.

On October 26, Dtonic formalized a partnership with the Seoul Pharmaceutical Credit Cooperative, aiming to establish a more advanced smart pharmacy platform. The collaboration is expected to enhance safety and reliability for both patients and pharmacies while streamlining regulatory compliance and risk management practices.

In addition to security enhancements, Parmkeeper is set to include features that simplify inventory management, transaction settlements, and order placements. This expansion aligns with the growing demands for improved pharmacy operations, as evidenced by the feedback from the Seoul Pharmaceutical Credit Union regarding the initial Parmkeeper service rollout.

CEO Jeon Yong-joo of Dtonic emphasized the importance of this launch, stating that Parmkeeper signifies a crucial step in the company’s broader strategy to extend its capabilities across various sectors, including defense, healthcare, and finance. “The launch of the palm keeper will signal Ditonic’s full-fledged AX expansion across the public and industry,” he remarked.

The company is also known for its AI data platform, D.Hub, and its intelligent display platform, D.Edge, which support the digital transition of existing operations. Dtonic’s vision extends beyond pharmacy services; the company is actively involved in creating smart cities, factories, and retail environments both domestically and internationally.

As the landscape of pharmacy services evolves with the integration of advanced AI technologies, the Parmkeeper initiative represents a significant leap towards improving operational standards and patient safety in the pharmaceutical sector. The upcoming demonstration at Pharm EXPO 2025 will provide stakeholders a firsthand look at the potential benefits of this innovative service.
