Emergent Secures Google’s AI Futures Fund Investment to Propel $25M ARR Vibe-Coding Platform Expansion

Emergent secures undisclosed investment from Google’s AI Futures Fund to enhance its $25M ARR vibe-coding platform, empowering 2.5M users to build without developers.

Emergent, a Bengaluru-based agentic vibe-coding platform, has secured an undisclosed investment from Google’s AI Futures Fund. The funding is intended to bolster talent acquisition, enhance product development, and facilitate global expansion, as stated by the company.

Emergent’s platform allows users, particularly those in early-stage startups, to create production-grade applications utilizing autonomous agents, effectively eliminating the need for developers, capital, or technical co-founders. Since its launch in July 2025, the company has witnessed rapid adoption, amassing over 2.5 million users and achieving an annual recurring revenue (ARR) run rate of $25 million. In September, Emergent completed a $23 million Series A funding round led by Lightspeed, bringing its total financing to $30 million.

Co-founder and CEO Mukund Jha emphasized the platform’s mission: “Not every business founder has the technology expertise or resources to make their dream a reality. With Emergent, we’re giving small business owners, creators, and entrepreneurs the tools to bring their vision to life, no matter the complexity.” He expressed gratitude for the support from Google’s AI Futures Fund and highlighted the potential to leverage Google’s AI technology to further empower Emergent’s growing user base.

Launched in May 2025, Google’s AI Futures Fund is designed to support AI startups with financial backing, technical resources, and early access to Google’s AI models. The fund recently collaborated with Accel to co-invest up to $2 million in early-stage AI startups in 2026.

Jonathan Silber, co-founder and director of the AI Futures Fund at Google, noted the fund’s objective to enhance startups’ generative AI capabilities. “Emergent’s work is helping people make their ideas a reality, breaking down barriers, and democratizing access to the tools businesses need to build their technology stack,” he stated. “We look forward to supporting them on their journey as they build with Gemini 3, and we can’t wait to see what they do next.”

Emergent asserts that its platform caters to side hustlers, small businesses, and solo founders, enabling them to develop applications without the need for engineering teams. The co-founders bring substantial industry experience; Mukund Jha studied at Columbia Engineering and previously worked at Google, while his brother Madhav Jha worked as an AI scientist at Amazon and later as a machine learning engineer at Dropbox before co-founding Emergent in 2025.

The company faces competition from platforms such as Lovable, Replit, and Rocket.new in the emerging vibe-coding market, which is becoming increasingly vital for startups looking to innovate rapidly without substantial upfront investment.

As AI technology continues to evolve, the support from major players like Google may significantly influence the operational landscape for startups like Emergent, potentially reshaping how applications are developed in the future. The ongoing investment in emerging AI capabilities reflects a broader trend within the tech industry, where accessibility and democratization of technology are becoming paramount.
