Samsung India is redefining the in-store experience with its newly launched Business Experience Studio (BES) in Gurugram, where innovative technologies aim to transform customer engagement in retail and business environments. The showcase features a combination of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and a cutting-edge display system designed to enhance how brands interact with consumers in physical spaces.
Central to this initiative is Samsung’s Spatial Signage, a display that creates a 3D effect without the need for glasses. Utilizing the company’s 3D Plate technology, the system generates depth behind the screen, allowing images to appear as though they extend outward while still operating on a standard LCD panel. The display measures 2.15 metres and supports 4K UHD resolution in a vertical 9:16 format, which accommodates rotating visuals that allow brands to showcase products from various angles.
The system is powered by Samsung’s Quantum Processor, which manages 4K upscaling, colour mapping, and HDR adjustments. An anti-glare layer ensures visibility in high-traffic areas, while the screen’s slim and lightweight design facilitates easy installation in retail outlets, bank branches, and other commercial settings without requiring significant structural modifications.
At the event, Samsung also unveiled how AI is being integrated into business frameworks. Through the AI Studio within its VXT platform, businesses can convert basic images into 3D-ready content using simple prompts, significantly reducing the time needed for display content preparation. This capability enables companies to adapt quickly to changing promotional needs.
Another integral component of Samsung’s system is the content management feature. Companies can oversee screens across multiple locations in real-time using a centralized platform. This allows for instant updates, including promotions and announcements, across all connected displays. In retail contexts, the setup can facilitate live promotions and modify content based on real-time demand, while in banking environments, it can help manage queues, display service updates, and guide customers through processes.
Security also plays a vital role in these systems, supported by Samsung’s Knox platform, designed to safeguard data and ensure compliance with industry standards. Additionally, the Galaxy multi-device experience allows staff to transition seamlessly between devices without interrupting their workflow, further enhancing operational efficiency.
The introduction of Samsung’s innovative retail technologies signals a significant shift in how brands can leverage AI and advanced display systems to engage customers more effectively. As retailers increasingly seek to create immersive shopping experiences, solutions like Samsung’s Spatial Signage could become pivotal in attracting and retaining consumer interest.
As the retail landscape continues to evolve, it will be interesting to observe how these technological advancements influence customer behavior and reshape traditional shopping experiences. The integration of AI and 3D displays is not merely a trend but could represent the future of retail, where customer engagement and operational efficiency are paramount.
