Axiado Wins Gold for AI Security Solution at 2026 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards

Axiado wins Gold at the 2026 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards for its Trusted Control/Compute Unit, enhancing AI server security amid rising data centre investments in India.

Bengaluru, India, 18 March, 2026: Axiado Corporation, a hardware-based platform security company dedicated to safeguarding modern data-centre infrastructure, has garnered the Gold Award in the AI Security Solution category at the 2026 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards for its innovative silicon-embedded approach to securing AI servers.

This recognition underscores Axiado’s commitment to advancing security measures with its Trusted Control/Compute Unit (TCU), a system-on-chip specifically designed to protect the infrastructure control plane of AI and cloud data-centre platforms.

The accolade arrives amid rapid global expansion of AI infrastructure, particularly in India. Industry analysts project that AI data centres could account for nearly 12 percent of global electricity consumption by 2030 as large-scale GPU clusters become increasingly sophisticated. Investments in hyperscale data centres in India are anticipated to surpass $10 billion by the end of the decade, driven by the demands of AI workloads, cloud adoption, and digital services.

“AI data centres are scaling like never before, but the security model protecting the infrastructure control plane has largely remained unchanged,” stated Gopi Sirineni, Founder and CEO of Axiado. “Our approach embeds AI directly into silicon through the Trusted Control/Compute Unit, enabling security to operate from the hardware layer itself. This recognition reinforces the importance of securing AI infrastructure at its foundation.”

Despite the rapid increase in compute capacity, much of the infrastructure that administers servers, firmware updates, and system boot processes still relies on outdated security components designed for an earlier generation of computing. Axiado’s architecture seeks to bridge this gap by integrating AI-driven security directly into the hardware layer. The Trusted Control/Compute Unit (TCU) amalgamates various infrastructure security functions, including root-of-trust, platform attestation, baseboard management controller capabilities, and runtime monitoring, into a unified AI-enabled chip.

Operating beneath the operating system and hypervisor layers, the TCU conducts continuous analyses of platform behavior concerning firmware integrity, administrator access patterns, workload telemetry, and hardware signals such as voltage and thermal activity. This capability enables early detection of anomalies, including sophisticated side-channel attacks that may attempt to manipulate system behavior during boot or attestation processes.

In addition to security features, the platform also includes AI-driven infrastructure efficiency capabilities. With functionalities such as Dynamic Thermal Management and intelligent voltage and frequency scaling, the system optimizes cooling and compute utilization based on workload predictions. Engineering tests have indicated potential operational savings of up to $20,000 per rack annually, which could amount to $20 million in annual savings for a 1,000-rack AI data-centre deployment.

The Cybersecurity Excellence Awards aim to honor companies and technologies that showcase tangible innovation in the field of cybersecurity. Axiado’s recognition highlights the increasing emphasis on hardware-rooted security architectures as AI infrastructure expands across hyperscale cloud providers, enterprise AI deployments, and national computing initiatives.
