Alpha Compute Corp. (NASDAQ: ALP), a leader in AI Confidential Compute and GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), announced the appointment of Tom Richer to its Advisory Board on April 21, 2026. Richer, an industry veteran with 30 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud computing, and AI, will provide strategic guidance as the company seeks to enhance its offerings in secure, sovereign AI compute solutions.
Headquartered in New York, Alpha Compute aims to address the growing demand for secure AI infrastructure. Richer’s role will encompass advising on GPU-as-a-Service infrastructure, confidential cloud architecture, and the execution of enterprise strategies, crucial for scaling the platform effectively.
Brittany Kaiser, CEO of Alpha Compute, expressed confidence in Richer’s capabilities, stating, “Tom represents exactly the kind of operator we want in our corner – someone who has lived at the intersection of GPU infrastructure and regulated enterprise AI deployments. His experience scaling cloud and AI practices across the world’s leading systems integrators will be invaluable as we build Alpha Compute into the defining platform for confidential AI compute.”
Richer brings a wealth of knowledge to the advisory position, having recently founded Intelagen, a consultancy recognized as a dual NVIDIA and Google Premier Partner. His extensive corporate experience includes senior leadership roles at IBM, HP, Deloitte, and Wipro, where he successfully scaled enterprise infrastructure businesses across the Americas and LATAM.
Known as an authority on the dynamics of AI compute supply and demand, Richer has guided regulated enterprises through complex infrastructure decisions across various sectors, including banking, healthcare, and media. His hands-on experience with GPU-as-a-Service and agentic AI solutions positions him as a critical contributor to Alpha Compute’s strategic direction.
Richer holds an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management and a BBA in Management Information Systems from Iona University. He has furthered his education with advanced programs in Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Technologies at MIT Sloan School of Management, and he possesses multiple cloud certifications, including those from Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services. His expertise in the industry was recently acknowledged with his recognition as a 2024 Google Cloud Partner All Star in Sales.
In discussing his new role, Richer stated, “Confidential compute is not a feature – it is the foundational requirement for AI to operate at scale within regulated industries. Alpha Compute is tackling one of the most critical infrastructure challenges of our time, and I am excited to contribute to a platform that has the potential to define how enterprises deploy AI securely, at the hardware level. I look forward to working with the team to accelerate both the technology roadmap and the enterprise growth strategy.”
Alpha Compute, formerly known as AlphaTON Capital Corp., owns and operates AI infrastructure powered by confidential compute and hardware-level encryption. The company’s GPU assets are designed to deliver privacy-preserving computation to its partners and applications, including prominent names like Telegram and Animoca Brands.
As the demand for secure AI solutions continues to rise, Richer’s appointment is seen as a pivotal move for Alpha Compute as it positions itself at the forefront of the AI infrastructure landscape. The company’s commitment to maintaining robust security measures aligns with increasing regulatory scrutiny in various industries, further emphasizing the significance of Richer’s expertise in confidential computing.
