Founded by Dheemanth Nagaraj, Ashok Jagannathan, Srikanth Nimmagadda, and Rajesh Vivekanandham, the startup is focused on developing a high-performance AI graphics processing unit (GPU) tailored for data center workloads. The AI GPU market has been rapidly expanding but remains dominated by a few major global players.

The company is pursuing a full-stack AI compute strategy that encompasses both hardware and software. In addition to GPU design, Agrani Labs is developing its own software stack, which includes compilers, libraries, system software, and AI frameworks to support its hardware platform. Agrani Labs has also recruited Vinod Dham, widely regarded as the “Father of the Pentium,” as a founding advisor.
