Cisco has made significant strides in advancing the infrastructure essential for the artificial intelligence (AI) era, unveiling a series of innovations at the Cisco Live Conference in Amsterdam. In front of over 21,000 IT professionals, the company introduced new products aimed at enabling customers to enhance their capabilities for secure and trusted Agentic AI. This announcement underscores Cisco’s commitment to providing a unified platform that integrates networking, security, observability, and sovereignty.
“AI innovation is moving faster than ever before and we’re delivering the critical infrastructure our customers need to move fast and adopt AI safely and securely,” stated Jeetu Patel, President and Chief Product Officer, Cisco. He emphasized that the latest innovations reflect Cisco’s integrated technology platform, showcasing advancements in silicon, systems, AgenticOps, security, and observability that collectively unlock value for customers across various environments.
Among the key innovations revealed at Cisco Live EMEA is the Silicon One G300, designed to facilitate the extensive scaling of AI clusters. The G300 features Intelligent Collective Networking, which boasts a 33% increase in network utilization and a 28% improvement in job completion times compared to non-optimized traffic. Cisco also introduced G300-powered N9100 and 8000 systems tailored for AI network builders, including hyperscalers, neoclouds, and enterprises. This hardware rollout is complemented by the launch of the Nexus One unified management plane, which aims to streamline operations across both on-premises and cloud-based data center deployments.
In addition to hardware developments, Cisco announced new AgenticOps innovations that will span its portfolio, designed to automate and simplify IT operations in the AI landscape. These innovations are informed by comprehensive telemetry from Cisco’s Networking, Security Cloud Control, Cisco Nexus One, and other sources, enhancing tools, skills, and platform capabilities across the networking, security, and observability domains.
The enhancements to Cisco’s AI Defense system are particularly notable, marking the most extensive updates to date. These updates provide AI supply chain governance and runtime protections for agentic tool use, thereby mitigating risks associated with compromise or manipulation. Additionally, advancements to Cisco’s Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) introduce intent-aware inspection of agentic AI interactions, assessing the motivations behind agentic traffic to defend against emerging threats. This suite of capabilities enables organizations to securely embrace AI technology while maintaining control over agentic interactions.
Complementing its hardware and software innovations, Cisco is focusing on support for customers operating within sovereign environments. The company’s Customer Experience (CX) division now offers tailored support options for air-gapped, on-premises, and hybrid setups. To bolster these efforts, Cisco has established Critical National Services Centers (CNSCs) in the UK, France, and Spain to assist organizations in meeting strict regulatory requirements. These centers operate under stringent controls, featuring dedicated facilities, segregated operational processes, and personnel with appropriate clearances.
The CNSCs extend beyond Cisco’s standard Technical Assistance Center (TAC) frameworks, providing secure and approved channels for technical support that align with customers’ data-handling policies. Building on a legacy established over 15 years in Germany, Cisco has now rolled out four CNSCs across Europe, with plans for an additional center in Italy under development.
As organizations increasingly integrate AI into their operations, Cisco’s advancements position the company as a crucial player in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI infrastructure. By focusing on secure, scalable solutions and robust support systems, Cisco aims to empower its customers to leverage AI technology effectively while navigating the complexities of modern digital environments.
